Update -- Just bought 2 more and these ones do have the silicone caps. Really terrific. IN additoin to travel I also use at home even though I have security and alarms. I do want the silicone caps fo rthe previous ones I purchased.Update 2024- Amazing tool. Was in a hotel where the bar did not work because of the flooring and this one worked perfectly. No one can enter even if the deadbolt is disengaged without breaking the door down.Easy to use -- great for hotels along with other security measures. Will prevent entry from thieves using a wire under the door because even if they manage to get the handle up they will not be able to enter. Use in conjunction with a pole under the door, a doorstop alarm, and a camera and you can live your life on the road.

I hate that I keep losing it because it's so small, but to be fair I also keep buying it and gifting it to people because I love it so much! Makes me feel safe whenever I'm away from home.

Nice little lock, it works and it's very easy to use. Not the fastest to put on and take off though.

This little door lock is pretty amazing. Recently, had to order a new lockset for a door leaving it completely unlocked for several days. The Trustella portable door lock is pretty small...only about 2" wide and 4" long and comes with a small travel pouch. While we did not use it for travel, I can see throwing this in a suitcase pocket so it's available if needed. It was a little tricky for me to figure out at first, but once you get it into place it's very study and feels very secure. Even my locksmith was impressed when he came back to finish the door lock repair and saw what we had been using.

Right on time. Checked into bread and breakfast and the deadbolt didn't work well. The inn keeper didn't agree with me since the bolt did technically latch (less than 1/4 inch went into the frame hole). I used this and felt very secure. I don't know what i would have done without it.

yfront door fit too closely for the metal to fit properly. In fact it messed up the wood frame and door. I made indentions in both. I am returning it.

This would be great for hotel rooms and when renting a vacation home.Installing the lock was a breeze, simply sliding it into place on the door where there is a gap between the locking latch and door. The lock securely holds the door closed, providing peace of mind and added security.I love how compact and easy to use this lock is, and I feel much safer knowing I can easily secure any inward-swinging door with it. It does not work with outward-swinging doors. It is also important to note that this lock will only work on doors with gaps between the locking latch and door.
