Instructions were ok but could be better one of my planks busted under the mattress on first night snapped exactly where there was a knot in the wood, had to send a photo as proof of break but a replacement plank was sent to me quite quickly, very well made apart from that very sturdy black decorative discs that came with it only received 4 looks more than that on photo and since they only have a small tack on the back to hammer in I decided to leave them off.

Bought this bed . Unfortunately a piece broke after assembly . Seller offered to replace broken part but had already got another bed . Already own the double bed which I have had no problems with .

We are delighted with this bed which was purchased for our granddaughter's visits. It was fairly straight forward to make up, with clear instructions. The only tricky bit was having to put metal retainers in the bed sides when attaching them to the posts with bolts, and this needed small fingers to line them up. The finished product is sturdy and attractive and we would buy this type of bed again when we are purchasing a second one. Even better, it arrived within days of the initial order, and contact between the seller was courteous and prompt.

This is our 2.5yr old sons first big boy bed, he helped make it and he is sound asleep in it as I type, the bed is solid and beautifully made. The only bits I wasn't happy with were the black tacks (for decoration so doesn't matter) snapped when tapped lightly with hammer or bend so we haven't used any. I would highly recommend this product, I'm even thinking of getting a king for me!

Lovely chunky bed, it was easy to assemble even for me. 66 yrs old and a single woman who is too independent to ask for help. I have a very expensive mattress that I found a disappointment until it was paired with this bed, they make a good combination.

In the pictures you can see the relief detail on the headboard and footboard. The side facing away from the camera looks pretty grotty, I'd recommend buying some wood coloured filler to hide the horrible slanting screw entry holes.. Small child fell onto one side of the bed and main frame snapped in half. I don't expect a bed to be indestructible but it was still a bit of a surprise.

I am so disappointed with this bed. It wasn't the easiest to put together but generally ok, but it doesn't feel as sturdy as it looks, creaks every time you sit on it and feels like it will collapse any day! The black detail bits are simply large drawing pins to stick into the frame, no good for a young child so we didn't use them. If I could return it I would but i can't go without a bed.

Really sturdy and strong . Easy to put up and attractive , will buy again in a double size next time as like the bed that much x
