Any idea how this product would work on a synthetic Berber carpet remnant?

I used it to finish a hooked rug project and it worked great!

Would this work for a thicker loop-type rug? The rug in question is an indoor/outdoor rug that is close to 1/4 inch thick.

Since it's 2" wide, the 1/4" should give you plenty of room. Give it a try. At under $5 it's not a great loss. That way you'll always have some on hand should you want to use it for another project. Check the specs. to see that they meet your requirements. This worked well for me.

Will this stick to rubber backing on a rug?

It is an iron on to the edge of the rug, I thought it worked well

Could I use this on clothing?

It's heavy duty twill so it would NOT be good on light fabrics. Would be good on sports wear that gets heavy duty use. Would be good on hiking clothing, especially if it has been damaged or gets unusually hard wear and tear.

This tape works

Bought two packs to iron onto the edges of a doormat made from a carpet leftover. So far, so good - the tape seems to have stuck down well and the cream colour looks smart.

Used to bind off a rug. Took a few tries to get it to bond but I think I started the iron off too cold. Holds well and works as described.
