Polecats: 5 (The British Natural History Collection)

This has to be the most comprehensive work available on the polecat and is written by someone who through his work chiefly with the Vincent Wildlife Trust knows polecats as well as anyone. It is written in an easy to read style (with an engaging sense of humour) but lacks for nothing in terms of quality natural history content. I was just surprised Trevor Poole's excellent Forestry Commission booklet on polecats wasn't listed in the further reading section.Great book and highly recommended.

A lovely book, full of absorbing facts about the Cinderella of the Mustelidae, well presented and illustrated. Up to date information on distribution which sadly is usually seen through road casualties. After reading this, I hope I'll have more chance of seeing one alive in the field.

The book was reasonably priced. Came very quickly by post. Was in very good condition, & is a very good read. I have thoroughly enjoyed this purchase.

Very interesting to read about an animal that is difficult to observe in the wild and good to hear that their range is increasing. Written by an author who obviously has lots of knowledge about his subject.
