Foundations French 2 (Macmillan Foundation Languages)

I like this book. It is just the right level for me and understandable. It includes a grammar section and also 'the verbs'.What struck me was how French has changed since I first learnt the language fifty years ago. This book is bang up to date compared with the French taught at that time, which would now sound quaint.My one criticism: the book comes with two CDs, on which the language is spoken by French people, but at such a fast rate, that I could not catch everything. I know that French is often spoken rapidly, but for learning purposes, I think the speakers should have spoken a bit more slowly and clearly.

I was required to buy this book for a French Course that I was enrolled upon. The grammar section at the end could be larger as could the provision of verb tables, but I guess there are other books for that. As the book states, it is designed to be used as a course book, so there are lots of speaking activities that would not be suitable for those looking to learn alone.

A course book at a very reasonable price. About eight exercises had been written on in pencil and the cover has a marked crease. But I removed the answers before the course and the crease is not mission critical. So still a great purchase due to the low cost compared with new.

IMPERFECT TENSE, FUTURE TENSE , CONDITIONAL and SUBJUNCTIVE tenses covered in context.A serious teaching tool for Intermediate and Higher Intermediate adults/ students.

Ordered as requested by my French evening class tutor as our course book. Quite dense, so maybe better value for money than originally appeared plus includes two CDs. It's easy to get used to highly discounted book prices online and forget the cost and work that goes into books, though was cheaper on amazon than rrp.

Recommended by my tutor to continue learning French.

a new book for study French...

Exactly as described, bought for an evening class. Very useful.There is a CD are inside each cover, which tend to flap around and make the book fall open in my bag.
