Adena Montessori Wooden Shape Sorter - Color Matching Learning Toys for 2-3 Year Olds (10 Shapes)

My 20 months old grandson came to visit. So I ordered a few Montessori toys for him. A couple different busy boxes which included locks and spinners, one with lots of switches that turned on and off lights, one that had mixed activities and this color and shape sorter box. He's into anything mechanical or electric.This is a nice size box, well designed & made. It's what I've come to expect from these Montessori toys. It's really 2 sorter activities in one box. First side is a shape sorter. The second side is a color sorter.Of the 4 Montessori toys I got for him, I think this was his least favorite. The first I brought out was a multi toy busy box with a xylophone, fishing, and size & shape sorter which held his interest for a couple days. Then I brought out the locks, spinner and switch toy which held his interest I guess for a couple of days until I brought out the one with all the switches and lights. That remained his favorite until he left to go home. He still played with the other 2 but not as much as the switches and lights. This one, which I brought out in the middle of his 2 week stay didn't hold his interest like the others.I think it depends on the child. He's always been fascinated with mechanical things, even as an infant. Even though this is a well thought out toy, it didn't appeal to him. Not a fault of the toy or the company.

This product is very good for teaching your toddler shapes and colors. The only thing is that the size of the small wooden parts is kinda small and could pose a choking hazard. Supervision is needed at all times while using this toy!!

This is a great toy because it has so many options for difficult levels for a toddler, so it will grow with them as they learn and have this toy for a longer period of time. I highly recommend this!

My two year old daughter has been learning her shapes and colors and this toy is helpful as it gives her a ton of practice and gets her more and more familiar with shapes and colors. I like how the box has more than one combination to work with.

I bought this for my niece to begin practicing her mathematical skills. Sorting it a great way to introduce math to your children at an early age.

My grandson loves this little game! He is improving on recognizing colors and shapes.

This shape sorter is amazing, i am waiting for my baby to grow older so he doesnt get the little shapes in his mouth
