Can you vacuum/wash these if they get too dirty?

They aren’t washable, however I use the tool attachment just to vacuum the loose hair/dirt it collects on the outside of the filter to make it last a little longer. By doing that I’ve noticed it doesn’t light up to be changed as often, which seemed like it was very frequent, despite not being in a smoky/dirty/high allergen environment.

This last one I ordered had a strong chemical smell not sure why anyone else had this issue?

I have never had a problem. There’s usually a mild smell that goes away in 24 hours. If there’s an awful smell I would return and get a new one.
