32/32 DAW I/O, Effects Rack, DAW Mackie Control, Mixer...all in one solution! Unbelievable value for money - paid £980 from Amazon (prime!) much cheaper than all of the so called music stores. I use my with a DAW, very low latency (sub 8 m/s roundtrip buffer 128) and great sound, I was on RME before and had considered going the ADAT route, but the X32 is just as good as the RME stuff for me at 48K. V2 software has some great effects and there are more than enough inputs for me (16 Midas pre's and 8 aux in line). DAW HUI remote works as expected in Cubase and Live, but lately I have taken to sending all outputs to the desk (you can have 32 outs over the included USB I/O) and mixing on the X32....you can even record the stereo mix to a USB pen on the X32!

I remember the Behringer of old - Still have a few of their lesser quality items holding doors open, but this really is something else. Gone is the dodgy build quality, also gone is the feeling that this is about to let you down at any moment. Been using it now for over 3 months without a single wobble. I have taken the precaution of using a UPS to ensure that smoothed power reaches it, but that's perhaps a little over the top (Something else to carry around...) My only gripe, and it is only minor, is that the faders are a little stiff sometimes, it's as if they don't quite sit properly, but these are getting smoother through use, so perhaps it's just a new thing... For a grand! you really can't go wrong! Hell, I've paid more for lesser pre-amps in the past....
