I'm really picky about socks and much prefer boots to shoes and so wear them all the time unless it's too hot. I love these as they fit well (I'm a UK 6), would fit up to a 7.5 I'd say... no baggy bits around the toes or heels, they are very sproingy with a grippy bit on the instep so they don't bunch or come down in my boots. They don't come up very high so no good if you need longer socks and are fairly snug fitting, especially around the ankle so if you haven't got skinny ankles they probably would dig in. They are also fairly thick due to the springy Terry material so they might not go with snug fitting footwear. They stay well put and the seams are minimal along the toes. They're perfect for low to mid rise hiking boots but I will also wear with other ankle boots as they're so comfy and inexpensive. Haven't washed them yet but will update this if it doesn't go well, I don't think I'll tumble dry these as I've found that this sort of Terry shrinks to action man size in the dryer.

These socks are great - comfortable, hard wearing and affordable. They are thick so take awhile to dry but leave them near a radiator and a day later they're ready to go. I am giving 3 stars as one pair of socks delivered is clearly a size bigger than the other four pairs. This is very frustrating - I would rather get two pairs the same colour in the right size than receive socks that don't fit.* Edit - increased rating to 4 stars due to excellent customer service response to my complaint above and action taken to rectify for myself and future purchasers. These are nice and comfortable. They keep my feet warm as they are a decent thickness around the foot without going overboard. I use these all the time now with my walking boots and my training shoes. The only thing I would warn about it that once washed they do shrink slightly and the material not quite so stretchy. However, once back on my feet they do stretch back to how they should be. I would say that depending on what footwear you want to wear them with check that they will pull long enough up you legs. They aren't overly long and I measured 8 inches from the floor to the top. My Harkila walking boots just fit them well but if the boots were any taller then they would not. But other than that I would say these socks are fit for function and good value.

Purchased for my partner, she loves them. Perfect when out walking or everyday use. These socks are long enough so that they don’t ride downwards under your heel. Great heel support a very comfortable. Good quality material, all in all, perfect.
