I cut the french loaf in half so it fits in the bread bin. Will this product stay fresh like the sliced loaf?

I believe it will stay fresh longer than in an ordinary bread bin. I have not used a French stick but have been using it for uncut bread. As I live alone I cut what I need and the bread has lasted for a week.

It's all well and good having ventilation on the lid but what about flies insects etc getting through the vent holes and even laying eggs on it

Flies, insects etc cannot get in, but I wouldn't waste my money on them, they do not do the job they are bought for. I was going to buy the big one too, but glad I didn't.

Will standard loaf Asda ,Tescos or Morrisons fit small £29 unit

Yes, if medium sliced/square loaf, small unit fits up to 800g loaf

Has anybody used this for homemade gluten free bread and how long does it stay fresh

Sorry, No-body I know makes home bread, so can't answer that. But shop bread last fresh for about 14 days. Many people have said that they love this Tupperware Product. Saves a lot of money in the long run, Try it with your home bread and test it. Good Luck.
