Why aren’t the reviews in the THOUSANDS?
Why are there only 33 reviews on this incredible product? I never write reviews so you know it’s gotta be good when I do, plus I want the people to get their hands on this system. This machine is amazing. Get it. The End. (Continue reading below for more nerdy info👇🏼)Now, I want to explain why I bought it.The gorgeous design is obviously a no-brainer but it has the same stats as the other famous brand we all know, without the price tag. The brew temp and time, blooming process, conical drip, controlled flow for preferred steep extraction, additional 120 min warming, etc. a few things make this stand alone and superior.Firstly, you can control the flow of the steeping process which is game changer. Today I did a medium grind with a .03 drip flow and the coffee was amazingly smooth. So amazing I loved it black. I never like black coffee. I know about surface area and extraction so I will continue to play with it; tomorrow I’ll do a fine grind with a faster drip. For reference I do a an equal amount of both freshly ground whole bean dark roasts of full caffeine and decaf (yes I know this is sacrilegious but I am sensitive to caffeine and refuse to give up my coffee so I am positive I have found the perfect form of half caff - you’re welcome).Second, this coffee is piping hot upon brew completion. I mean…wow! Not exaggerating. Serious difference. And last, the delayed start time. This is the main reason why I chose it over all the other systems with similar stats. They didn’t have a timer. This one does.5 stars! Get this system! And thank me when you do!

Brews too fast
It’s a nice coffee maker. Works very nice and simple to use. Little tricky to clean but it’s doable. The reasoning I’m returning it is because I think it brews the coffee way too fast. I mean 6 minutes for 8 cups that’s impressive but the taste is not. The coffee is nice and hot but the taste is weak. I tried adjusting the speed on the filter holder but couldn’t tell a difference. The taste is weak and not as strong as I like my coffee. If the water process was slower the coffee would probably taste better but this just heats up the water real quick and brews it very fast almost doesn’t extract all the flavor from the grinds. And I’m not a fan of the funnel on the carafe or lid since it doesn’t flip up, you have to physically take the whole lid off to clean it.

Plastic taste
I didn't notice it at first, but my coworker pointed it out. I ran only water through it and it smells of burning plastic. I've kept it very clean, and used it every day for months. That's why he didn't drink the coffee lol. I assume the makers didn't use BPA free plastic or something. I works not recommend this at all, I figure it's just a new Chinese company trying to make a fast cash grab ripping people off.

nice looking, bad functionality
UPDATE: upgraded to 4 stars. The coffee is hot and that's a good plus. Kept it at speed 3 (do NOT select any higher speed) and it works fine.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Another case of: let's make it look nice and forget functionality. Cons - there are many:1. It's difficult to clean. There is a stainless rod that transports boiling water from the transparent water reservoir to the brewer. This rod sits right on top of the brewer once assembled. It gets very hot and there's not way to remove it to take the spent coffee grinds and paper filter out after brewing. You'd have to wait for this to cool down - and most of the time forget to clean.2. There's a drip dial that controls the flow of the hot water. By itself that's not a problem, but there's also this funnel that directs hot water into the carafe itself. The funnel is built into the carafe cap. Now, pure physics comes into play. When the carafe is half full of coffee, the funnel inside is also half full. So there's less capacity for the liquid to escape. We tested this by turning the drip dial to "6" which is the maximum speed. Initially it worked fine, but then as the carafe AND the funnel both start to fill up with hot coffee, coffee starts to overflow and onto the counter and everywhere else. But of course! It's physics!3. There is a small dip in the glass carafe where the glass meets the plastic top ring. This dip catches about 2oz of coffee so you'll never get all the coffee out. Not a big deal, but high-end coffee makers do not have this issue. For this price, these little details should have been taken care of during the design process. The solution is to either set to a maximum speed of 3, or to not use the cap+funnel at all. But not using the cap+funnel then the liquid has too much height to drop, so there's splatter everywhere. Speed of 3 is kind of slow, and the funnel is just ... there are other, simpler solutions to this. This is not a good design. All in all this is a strange design that looks nice, but not functional. I would NOT recommend this.
