Exactly what it says on the tin, working abacus. Not huge production quality but it does the job.

Learning something new
Having seen children's bead frames before I was surprised how small the Soroban was. But having tried it found this to be an advantage and as a seventeen row frame how powerful it is. I have seen videos of Asian children doing amazing things with their Soroban and as i'm rather hopelessat maths I'm hoping some of their skills will rub off on me.

Light and very plastic
This is great for teaching the Soroban to children to improve their grades at school and thinking/remembering skills - sets them up for life.... great because of its weight for small fingers.

Too big!
I bought this thinking it was a mini abaco-should have checked the size first. Even though it was bigger than anticipated, my little one can still practice easily on it(5yr old)

This soroban model is maybe standard size, but I consider that the beads are to small to use it easily. Even if I read in the comments "It's too big" for me it's too small. The price too high for this simple plastic model.

great, sturdy abacus. I had one when I was little, very similar to this one. quick delivery but it would be nice if it came with a pouch as well.
