Ordered Thursday, arrived Friday. Followed advice for size. I am 5'10" & 154lbs. L for me. Perfect fit with fleece underneath. I'll need that come September! Looks very well put together. An excellent sturdy zip, the weak spot in a lot of wax kit. Pockets well placed with high on the chest hand warming pockets. Good size square pockets for 'dog stuff.' Phone pocket on the inside. Altogether an excellent product fit for purpose and exactly as described. Good value at a very competetive price. UK made a huge plus.

I’m a photographer, out in all UK weather. Sometimes its wet, but too warm for my full-on Barbour jacket but not warm enough for lightweight summer gilet. This fulfils the space. Would have been nice if inside pocket had zip for security, otherwise a quality product at very good price.

I am a dog walker by trade, and I need a comfortable Gilet style waistcoat with which to store essential items of my kit - keys, dog waste bags, dog treats, wallet, etc. This Gilet is not only excellent value for money, it is also very comfortable and in its own way. quite stylish. It has two button down patch pockets - spacious, two breast pockets, plus an inside pocket for vaulables.The outer fabric is waxed, making it water-resistant, and the padded fabric also thick enough to offer some protection from the wind. It is well-made, with no loose threads, and I have owned and worn it for several weeks, and it has kept its shape and its smart looks. Very impressed with it, all in all, and happy to recommend.

Excellent garment, fit as advertised, well made, - appears likely to prove to be very durable - love it already!

Does the job if you're a utilitarian person. Very warm. If you're buying for appearances, it might not be for you, because the poppered storm flap isn't centred. See image. When the zip is visible, you can see the pockets are equally spaced from the zip. However, when the storm flap is poppered up, the pockets appear to be askew. That's because the left and right panels of the gilet are the same size and the flap has been sewn onto the edge of one of them, rather than being inset by perhaps a centimetre to ensure the garment is symmetrical when it's done up. In fairness to the retailer, the Amazon pictures show this and lots of items in this price range display the same thing. However if you aren't expecting to have to look for that when shopping around, you could easily miss it, as I did. The price is pretty good and it might not bother you, but I reckon once you've seen it you'll always see it.

I bought this as very good, not new. In truth I could not tell the difference. I’m an XL and it’s a great fit both over a thick shirt or over a shirt and a thick jumper. Great for working in the garden or walking.The price is competitive when new and my one was exceptionally priced.

This is a great value for a wax cloth vest.
