Yes, the clip mp3 player has a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

I bought this to listen to audiobooks, but after downloading the files play in reverse order, for example part 5 instead of part 1 How do you change?

You might have to run a program called fat sorter on the memory card while it is in the device. That will usually put things in proper order. I'm not 100% sure about audiobooks though.

How do I download songs?

Use the USB-C to connect the player to your computer. Drag-drop or copy-paste the .mp3 files into the appropriate folders. If you want to move them off your player, do the same but in reverse.

Does this support playlists?

Yes it does. Go to the Music screen and scroll down until you see “Playlists”. There’s nothing in the instructions booklet about it.
