I purchased this product specifically because of the dimensions and being carbon fibre. Yes of course there are better ones out there, but I only just started with photography and as I was heading out to Cappadocia - Turkey, I needed a tripod to capture the amazing balloon flights. I wanted something small, compact, sturdy and that gives me a quick setup access. To me the Sirui 5CX ticks all the boxes. Weighs less than a kg, managed to attach it to the bottom of my sling bag and setup is actually straight forward and easy. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone starting in the photography field, or if you want something portable for holiday usage. Excellent value for money and functionality wise I haven’t found any struggles so far. Invest in a quick release plate as well and you’re good to go.

Any tripod is a trade off between its own weight and stability. This is a compact light weight tripod so it isn't going to give the stability of a bigger, heavier unit. It's fine for photographic stills with my full frame mirrorless camera. I think if you want to do panning or zooming video, extreme telephoto or use it with a spotting scope, it isn't the right product for that. It's very nicely engineered, it's smooth and positive in use. The panning feature with the ball head is really good. The Arca Swiss mount accepts other bases I have from Gitzo and Peak Design. When fully extended, it gets the viewfinder of my camera just about up to my eye (I'm 5'11" tall). With legs retracted, it's a reasonable tripod for close-ups and is more stable. Overall, for the price and weight, I'm very pleased with it. I did have a 3 Legged Thing Corey Punks tripod that was rather like this in format, I'd say if anything this is just as well made and maybe more stable. So, as a travel tripod for stills, I've found it to be excellent, to be honest, more than I had expected.

Just got back into photography. I intend to travel a lot next year. Easy to use and pack into luggage.

I already have a 3 legged thing Punks Corey tripod, but despite being a great tripod, it was a bit heavy for a recent trip to Iceland. I bought this tripod in the hope that it would be sturdy enough for reasonably long exposure work to enable me to capture the Northern Lights, despite being quite a lot lighter than my day to day tripod. It was. I had no stability issues at all. It feels well constructed, the mechanics of it feel very solid, and it's easy to adjust. It's a great tripod, and excellent value for money. Any time I am out walking, this is now in my bag. The Corey has been relegated to astrophotography only, where I am doing 3 or 4 minute exposures close to the car.

This is a really nice tripod. It is lightweight and its compactness lets it fits into bags easily. Extending the legs is easy and offers good flexibility in getting the height required. Being lightweight it can seem a little unstable but I’ve never had any Problems and sometime make use of the hook to add Weight when required.

I was looking at a compact yet lightweight travel tripod that I could easily carry in my bag. This tripod is very comfortable and extremely sturdy for its size. I would highly recommend as it is exactly as described.

SIRUI have done a good job of getting the size and weight down but it's just too small and spindly. When the legs are fully extended there are are a lot of vibration and the elevated centre pole just makes it even worse. The ball head is small but again too small, it just makes the whole thing way too fiddly and not fun to use. Returning for something more substantial.

Really lightweight and strong it's ideal for my needs although windy conditions will wobble it slightly when extended.

This tripod does everything easily. Plus it's super well built, small, and light weight considering the quality. Easily holds my camera upside down for the low-to-the-ground shots, and also quickly becomes a monopod. What's not to like? They've really constructed a terrific tripod here.

Le trépied SIRUI Compact Traveler 5CX a été une excellente addition à mon équipement. Avec sa construction en fibre de carbone, il est incroyablement léger, mais peut encore supporter mon appareil photo et mon objectif avec facilité. Les jambes à verrouillage par torsion sont faciles à installer et à ajuster, et la rotule est fluide et facile à utiliser. Le trépied est également livré avec un étui de transport pratique et un kit d'outils pour les ajustements nécessaires sur le terrain. De plus, le trépied a une colonne centrale réversible, ce qui me permet de me rapprocher du sol pour des angles et des perspectives uniques. Dans l'ensemble, je suis très impressionné par le trépied SIRUI Compact Traveler 5CX et je le recommande vivement à tout photographe à la recherche d'un trépied léger et polyvalent.

Leggero e poco ingombrante...per me che l'estate vado soprattutto in moto è quello che cercavo...me lo porto sempre dietro.
