I've got the pretty turqoise blue one and I really like it. It's made of great quality, very big and stretchy so will fit adults of many sizes. I'm a female that wears UK size 18/20 clothing and is around 5ft 8 in height and this is it's still big on me, coming up to my neck. But I do find it to be a little itchy but maybe that's just me. Delivery was fast. Haven't washed it yet so unable to comment on whether it gets ruined or not after washing, maybe itching will stop after washing? Overall, it's a great blanket and would make for a great gift.

After failing to find a knitting pattern, to hand-knit this myself, I bought this ready done one for (probably) less cost. I chose the 'fish scale' pattern which is, I think, by far the more attractive one in the pictures and when I received the real thing it was as good as I anticipated . It arrived vacuum-packed in a thick/strong polythene bag so it was very tight-pressed with a slightly undesirable smell. I intended to give it a quick wash to restore pleasant smell and softness. However, 2 days later, when I went to do this, the smell had aired-out. (A quick wash with fabric softener would still make an improvement.)It was a no- special-reason gift for my adult daughter who had seen these last year and was quite taken with them. She was thrilled with the colour, the design, the whole thing - and she can wash it herself now! Phew!

Have bought one each for my nieces for Christmas and I'm sure they will love them. They feel soft and look great but I can not yet comment on their durability. They both came with unexpected extras of a drawstring bag and a necklace with mermaid tail pendant so very happy at this point.

Lovely knitted tail, for those of you who are like me and are faily larger woman, I'm a size 18-20 (uk size)its very snug to say the least, i just about fit in with my big hips and calfs. However I do love It!!!

My wife loves this! The quality is great, the material is nice and chunky and it's a nice pattern and colour.The design is also pretty convenient, being an open blanket at the top but enclosing the get gives the warmth of a sleeping bag without the inconvenience of getting in/out.Definitely recommend an initial wash and airing before use to remove any musty odour (not a criticism of the product, this is pretty normal with heavy wool items that have been in storage).

Not great, but not terrible either! On the upside it arrived on time, lovely colour, soft and warm! On the downside however, it's really small so doesn't sit as shown in the picture (more a sheath than a cosy blanket)! I got it for my 12 year old daughter and it fits ok on her but it's pretty tight on me (average size 12 - 14 person)! I'd say that it's suitable for a child but I wouldn't recommend it for an adult!

Bought this as a gift for 10 year old. It seemed a little short, maybe it is meant for younger kids. Having said that the blanket was a huge hit and loved by my friends daughter.
