Great Boots for Use in Cold Weather with Electrically Heated Socks:
I bought these shoes for use in keeping my feet warm when cycling in the winter. When the temperatures drop between freezing and about 40F, I can put on some foam booties for my shoes to help keep in the heat. (I don’t use clip-in petals but just the regular type and regular shoes.) However, when temperatures drop to between to between 20F and freezing, the booties do not provide enough insulation. I usually do a 70-mile ride at least once a week that takes me 7 – 8 hours and especially feel the cold when I start my ride—usually between 8 and 9 am. I thought about using my crosscountry ski boots for cycling but they are too bulky and heavy and would not be suitable for such use. I then examined the use of electrically heated wool socks with my foam booties which greatly helped at keeping my toes warm. However, the soles of my feet were still exposed to the outside cold since there was not much insulation in that area of the shoe. In desperation, I decided to try these boots with my electrically heated socks. Bingo! That was the combination that I needed.I recently tried this combination when the outside temperature was 27F and selected a medium heat level that kept my feet toasty warm. (The electrically heated socks provide three levels of heating: low, medium, and high or 100%, 75%, and 50% output.) After several hours the temperatures warmed and I could turn off the heater. The boots are well insulated from top to bottom and I didn’t need any auxiliary heating until late in the afternoon as the temperature dropped. My feet were well insulated with this combination. I think that the electrically heated socks would keep my feet warm for a good half day, but never had to use it that long so far.The boots are well constructed and well insulated and should keep your feet nice and warm. I normally wear a size 9-1/2 so ordered a size 10 boot. That was a perfect fit that was not too snug. I wear a liner sock under the electrically heated wool socks to avoid having to wash them every time that I use them. This combination worked great for me and I am well pleased with the results that I have experienced with these boots. (I should note that using them for cycling doesn’t put the same pressure or strain on the boots that hiking would.) If the boots are a bit too loose, one can always slip foam inserts into them to take up any slop.I bought the electrically heated socks from Amazon:Gamegie Battery Heated Socks - Rechargeable Heating Socks, Winter Electric Thermal Socks Foot Warmers for Men Women Sport OutdoorJust search under “electrically heated socks” to see what is now available.

Decent quality (I walk A LOT)
I bought these mostly to keep my feet dry. I do a TON of walking and these boots have held up after taking quite a beating (I literally walk about 50 miles a week in these). the tongue is not waterproof so my feet did get wet a few times, but overall, they do the job. They are comfortable to walk in. My only complaint is the loop on the back to help get them on is WAY TOO SMALL. I could only get my pinky finger in it. after about 4 months the soles began to separate at the heels, but then again I walk A LOT. Also, I did notice a crack (hole) in the top where the crease from walking is. Overall, I would recommend.

Great boots! Durable and Very Warm. Waterproof.
I have been more than impressed with these snow boots. Un-boxing, I was impressed by their build quality and light weight. They fit me perfectly with a little room to wear an extra pair of socks if I need to. Living in Wyoming with sub-zero temperatures and record snow fall I put these boots to the test right away. My feet were not cold or wet after about three hours of use. I've used them for work, walking, and at the ski resort; they are very comfortable and easy to use. I love how the lacing system gives an added seal that prevents cold air or snow from entering. I haven't been too impressed by its "non-slip" properties as they can tend to slide on wet cement, but the tread offers plenty of traction on snow, ice, and mud. They really aren't meant to be used in the city or for casual walkers, these are snow boots for cold temperatures.Bottom line: Yes, buy them. I would recommend these boots to anyone looking for a daily use snow boot who sees a lot of action in wet snow and cold temperatures. These boots seem built to last for a long time and offer great protection very comfortably. Great price for what you get!

Fit and quality
Amazon's size recommendation was dead on. These fit my big feet really well, just slightly larger the way I like 'em.As to quality? IMHO, anybody hesitating? Don't. These are nice, solid boots. No trouble yet. Will keep you posted if there is. Waiting for winter, but these would be fine any time of the year. Walked for an hour in 'em. Nice aggressive soles.

Size is off
These seem like a good pair of boots, but I won't know until it gets cold here. They seem wellbuilt and warm, but the size 11W is still a bit snug even for it being a wide. Really wish they made a half size at 11.5 because then these would be perfect.

Great Boots
Just got my boots and they fit great! Guys with wider feet should consider these. They are very comfortable, the insole is a soft gel like insole and feels good on the foot. The rubber seems like rugged good quality rubber. The leather upper is a little stiff but it will break in after a day at work and the thing is they are LIGHT! Can’t wait to try them in the snow and cold weather! HOME RUN Nortiv8 ! Thanks for making a lightweight quality boot that’s affordable!

Worth the money
Durability only time will tell but they show a higher quality than the pics, 12 wide feels like 12.5, but that's perfect for winter with extra socks. They seem to be versatile, winter/day-to-day/hiking.Nice boots.

Very good
I must warn you when you start wearing these boots, don't lace them right up and not too tight. Believe me I learnt the hard way. These boots need breaking in and it takes a little while. Depending how often you wear them it took me a few weeks before I could lace them right to the top. I can honestly say they get better the more I wear them so comfortable and durable. Yet to see how they fare as temperatures drop, but confident they will perform. Iam a size 10 but bought size 11 to wear thick socks.
