Handy to power devices over PoE
Have a custom home automation device that doesn't need ethernet, but I wanted to power with PoE. I had bought another brand of this item previously, but it failed near immediately, so I picked this brand up instead. Cheap, 30w of power, and works great.

Run power to your camera (or other device) over 1 ethernet cable
Great way to get power to my outdoor camera without running any more power cables. NOTE: you must have a PoE (power over ethernet) switch or power injector on the other end of your network cable obviously. But it works - simple and no cable clutter!!

Works But Too Expensive For What It Is
I am using these to power some Reolink Wi-Fi floodlights. So far they work fine but they are over-priced for what you are getting.

Running a netgear router just fine
I had gotten it set up along with a POE injector today. I did some testing with a wattage meter to make sure they were negotiating properly and it seems so. I am using a 50 Foot run of ethernet to do it. I am using a AC1750 R6400v2, but I am nearly 100% certain that any router that needs a power input of 12V and 2.5A will work just fine with this splitter. It was very much plug and play.

Powering a M1 Nighthawk in outdoor enclosure
I've been waiting on decent prices to set out my outdoor enclosure, and after 6 months from my first purchase till now, I have everything finally. This is actually a very long project where just in the last 6 months the items I've been looking at finally hit price points I was okay with.I'm using a 48v poe injector connected to 30ft of lan cable into an outdoor enclosure connected to this splitter then connected to a M1 Nighthawk. Success!I have never really messed with POE devices and that showed when I questioned whether or not my decade old ethernet cables would work. News flash, they did!I was hoping my travel router would power when connected to the M1 through this splitter but it did not. To be honest, I don't think I ever tried that configuration with wall power either, but one can always hope.So to recap, all I needed was for a way to mount the M1 outside and much higher than I was able to inside. I also wanted to accomplish this on a low budget. I simply needed a way to power the hotspot outside without running an extension cord. Yes, there is now an ethernet cable, but it was much easier to conceal. This splitter with a USB-C connection eliminated the need for another adapter as well.WhatI can't speak for is speed (my speeds are well under what most people are use to) and my injector is only a 10/100. Again, I was not going to be able to take advantage of giga speeds, so not important.

So Awesome!!!
Made it so easy as there is no power at location of router I added to my home network making the total routers 2, instead of 1. Works great just make sure that you use the proper injector to supply the correct power to this device as well as your network device! Thanks guys!

It works but it doesn't support 1gbps (only 10/100T)
It works, but it's slow.If you need a PoE splitter, I suggest buying Reidubo Gigabit PoE Splitter Adapter instead - same price, but has 1GB support (and it's white if you care)

It works but lack of data activity
Product did not state that it was incoming 48 volts.
