I have to admit I was a tad unsure when I ordered these Cold Wax strips, as previously I have always gone to a beautician for hot waxing, but I need not have worried as they work brilliantly. I now keep a box in the bathroom cabinet. They are easy to use and produce soft clean results. No more shaving “down there” for me! Some reviewers complain about discomfort using wax strips, but if you are careful, tension the skin before you pull and pull the strip in the direction of the hair and do it quickly it is pain free and easy peasey. Afterwards always use a scent free quality moisturiser.

So I thought I’d try these before going abroad. Easy to do, done my legs and underarms with a couple left over. Didn’t stay smooth for long but kept the obvious hair away the week I was gone so didn’t have to shave. I have sensitive skin and these were fine, a few red bumps but what do you expect. I used castor oil to remove the wax, worked better than the wipes supplied. I’ll use again for my next holiday.

I tried the Veet Expert Cold Wax for Sensitive Skin, and it worked pretty well on some areas, especially where the hair was finer. But on other areas, it didn’t remove much hair, even after following the directions carefully. The wipes included are nice and soothing, but there aren’t enough for all the strips, which makes cleanup a bit tricky. Overall, it’s decent for quick touch-ups, but not the most reliable if you want a completely smooth result.

These are great strips. They warm up well and can remove good area of hair. Used on hairy man’s back and they really do the job.
