POWERTEC 70336 2-1/2" OD 90 Degree Elbow - ABS Plastic Dust Collector Connector (Clear)

I'm so used to dealing with a 4 inch dust removal system I was taken aback at how small this 90 degree elbow was. It was like a toy. But, it seems well made and worked well for putting a 90 degree bend off of my planer dust removal port. I like the fact that is is clear so I can see the dust being removed and see how efficient it is. I would buy again.

This elbow is 2 1/2" OD X 2" ID on both ends. The curve is a sweeping 90° so it does not block the flow. Adding this to my DWE7491 job site saw enables me to control the sawdust flow into a 5 gallon bucket with very little mess on the floor. Excellent for dust collection!

Works perfectly as a 90. If you need a (or two) 45* adapters, there is a cut line on the sticker. That said I'm not sure what is supposed to adapt to the narrow end of the 45*.. rigid and soft cuffs are too big.

Buyer beware. Make sure you know what you’re ordering. I ordered this to fit on my Dewalt planer (DW735) and it did not fit. Powertec most likely is vague on description so more people will order it. Believe it or not, a significant amount of people will not return a product out of laziness just because it didn’t work. There are a ton of companies and sellers on Amazon that rely on this fact.The fitting itself is well-made. Smooth interior that actually comes to a 90° angle.

I purchased this to create a 90degree bend on a cyclonic vacuum.To make this fit into a Ridgid vacuum, you need a PVC 2" Connector; this will be a very tight fit - bang it in with a dead-blow hammer and some lubricant. The other end, the 2 1/2" hose pipe - is about 1/16" too large. To make this fit, heat it with a heat gun; you can make it fit. Hard work, but worth it - however, I don't think I'd purchase this in future for the same purpose.

My purpose for these was unusual, I was using them for a clear tube hot wheels track. While the elbows are sturdy, well-built, and sufficient quality and clarity, they did not meet my need because there was an unfortunate small ridge on the inside of each elbow that caused the Hot Wheel cars to flip upside down every time they went through the curve. These would be great for use in their intended purpose such as a vacuum setup, so I've rated them 5-stars as if they had been used for that purpose.

I was looking for a simple 90° clear tubing to try creating an aquarium bridge between two tanks. This is the 70336 version which is destined to work with a 2.5 inch coupler. The 90 degree L works perfectly the OD is 2.5 Inches at the ridge and slightly tapered towards the opening. The ID is not tapered and is a fixed 2-15/64 inch diameter. Worked fine and leak free using a 2.5 inch silicone automotive high temp coupler, but as many find true, the fish ignored it (but it was fun learning how to build one.)
