Looks just like the picture and has a nice weight to it the quality is fine for it being under $40 no complaints.

When I saw the picture, I thought it was soothing. Now that I have it in my hand, I definitely find it relaxing. It was surprisingly heavy, which means it will stay put. I thought the birds were going to be brass, they are actually plastic, so be careful with them on assembly. There is a metal threaded socket in them, so the plastic won't strip. I had a hard time with the smaller bird, but there was some resin on the metal threads. Also my thick fingers kept dropping the small one. I have it on a shelf overlooking my desk, and glancing at it every now and then provides a moment of relaxation. It just feels right. It would likely make an excellent gift to someone with a bit of stress and no cats or small children, although it's heavy enough to give a cat a challenge. I suppose it could also be used for rings or necklaces. There is a simple instruction sheet, but all there is to do is to attach the birds, which just screw on. Although you could put either bird in either position, I think it looks best as suggested, with the larger bird on the shorter branch. This is a lovely piece that is sure to prompt some conversation.Edit: The gold figures are fragile. I was in the process of moving things around in the office and temporarily had this on a corner of my desk. My wife barely touched a wing and the tip broke off. Just a little, not really noticeable unless you are very close, so I won't try to fix it. It's still very calming.

I was immediately drawn to the look of this piece because it reminded me of many scenes of tree images in Japanese and Chinese art, the beautiful trees changing through the seasons and the variety of wildlife surrounding them. The art is so calming and it stirs deeper thought and longing. I do want to stress that my product was very carefully packed- I don't think blame them for the damage. But sadly it arrived with a broken limb. I'm not sure what happened but I wanted to do a review anyway because I feel so strongly about the quality of the item, it really is nicely done and they took such care with it. I tried to take photos of different areas of the trunk to show how detailed it is. The birds are lovely too, very sweet. The base is stone and quite heavy! It won't blow over when the fan comes on that's for sure. I've ordered some glue, perhaps I can mend the break.

Extremely cheap item. Was very disappointed

I put this little tree sculpture in my bathroom, and I think it looks pretty good! A simple sculpture that's eye catching but doesn't need a story behind it, and the material seems to hold up well even when i take hot showers that steam up the room.Putting it together was very simple, as it comes in 3 parts total: the base+tree, the sitting bird, and the wings-out bird. The only instructions are to put the birds onto the little screws on either end of the tree, the base and tree come packaged as a single piece. Building off that, the base itself is heavy enough to stay put pretty much wherever you put it, and the tree has a bit of weight behind it as well for a tad more sturdiness. The birds, however, do feel pretty brittle, so be careful when screwing them on, it felt like there was a decent chance they could snap if tightened too much.

Despite the extra packaging effort this item arrived broken. Delicate item for rough delivery driving and handling.
