Great addition to my recording equipment set up
This is what you would typically call a mic lead with a quater inch jack instead of the female XLR end which will work in your bog standard karaoke machines or PA system for vocals i am using it for my recording set up as my 12 track recorder has 4 1/4 inch jack inputs on 2 faders for tracks 9/10 - 11/12 both being stereo left and right instead of MONO XLR inputs like the rest of the board so this cable is perfect for inputing a mic into one of these faders as i have used up the tracks with drum mics . so the length of thie cable is 6 meters and plenty to go from mic'd up amplifier via a DI box so the cable is very sturdy and well put together and will take quite alot of your general studio wear and tear moving it around from different applications and also winding and unwinding it's actually pretty flexible if you take care of it like you would in a professional manner it will last a very long time, the cable was also fine where noise is concerned it has the copper shielding inside to help keep interference to a minimal, ive given 5 stars because so far its done whats needed of it and looks like a keeper in my box of tricks ..the price at the time of writing this review is £18.99 which i think is fair you can buy other similar cables for a cheaper price but its better to put the extra couple of quid towards a better quality cable thats going to last ..

Works as expected - no noticeable hiss or noise
This is a male 1/4" to female XLR lead - I had the 4 metre version. The lead works as expected. It can be used to patch a mono, unbalanced signal into an XLR input on e.g. a mixing desk, provided the signal source is compatible (works with keyboards, but guitars probably need a DI box) and the desk can accept female plugs. Most are expecting male plugs. Alternatively it can be used to connect a Tip-Ring-Sleeve (TRS) balanced source to an XLR male plug e.g. those commonly found on microphones. The connections are as per the photo attached. The sleeve goes to the earth/ground pin on the XLR and tip/sleeve to +ve and -ve signal pins. When I used this, the hiss from the cable was not detectable above that intrinsic to the mic/instrument and PA. Over a longer cable run I'd expect it to get worse, especially if used in unbalanced mode, but it compared well with more pricey cables from my local music shop.

Great Cable with Perfect Sound Quality
I recently purchased this XLR to TRS Stereo Jack cable and I am very impressed with its performance. The cable is made of high-quality materials, providing a solid and durable build. The 6M length is perfect for my needs, providing plenty of room to manoeuvre without feeling like I'm being tethered to one spot. The sound quality through this cable is fantastic, with clear and accurate audio transmission. It's compatible with a wide range of devices and provides a stable connection, ensuring my audio is never interrupted. I love that this cable has both XLR male and 6.35mm TRS stereo jack connections, making it incredibly versatile for all my audio needs.Overall, I would highly recommend this cable to anyone in the market for a reliable and high-quality XLR to 6.35mm TRS Stereo Jack cable. Its reasonable price of £19 makes it a great value for the quality and performance it offers.

Appears to be reasonable quality
This feels like a decent cable, and appears to do a good job with carrying balanced signals around the place. I haven't noticed any significant hiss or noise when it's been in use, and the connectors appear to be of decent quality and not too cumbersome. I like that the jack plug end is neat and tidy so it will fit in easily amongst a load of other plugs coming into and out of my mixer. However, one thing I would say is that I have an almost identical cable, but from a different brand, that does the same job, is the same length, and has pretty much identical connectors, but was significantly less expensive, so it would be difficult to recommend this one over an apparently identical, cheaper, option.

Good quality
I ordered this XLR to jack lead microphone cable as I am starting to experiment with different vocal effects through a programmable effects unit (one I had kicking around for my guitar)....the aim being to accompany my guitar playing with a wider range of vocal sounds (distorted vocals, delayed and octave matched ooohs and aaaahs). This cable is perfect for the job as the jack end goes into my effects unit which wasn't the case with my existing mic leads as they are all XLR on both ends. The cable is well made, durable and had good solid connections at each end. Really pleased with it.

Good quality cable, solid connections and decent sound reproduction
There are a few versions of this cable; the one I selected was the 2.0m long, female XLR to 6.35mm jack. I’m using it as a microphone cable for PA use via a DJ mixing console. The cable sheathing and the end connectors are all well made from good quality components. The connectors fit securely and there is no channel interference or distortion.Sound reproduction is good enough for my needs and the performance is well matched to my microphone and mixing decks.I didn’t want a lot of spare cable hanging about getting in the way and so the 2.0m length is perfect for close proximity work.I’m happy to recommend this cable based on my early experiences, let’s see how well it performs after a few gigs?

A high quality patch lead XLR to '1/4 inch' jack
This would be normally be used to connect between professional stereo or balanced line microphone systems (In other words - if you need it you probably don't need me telling you why)Externally it is made from nice solid cable with two robust connectors on the ends.To some extent the cable's internal construction determines it's suitability for a particular purpose so I carefully dismantled the XLR socket end (which suggests this would be used with a XLR plug on a microphone) and found a pair of single core cables inside the a braided outer screen which is entirely suitable for a balanced microphone feed.Good quality interconnecting lead at a fair price
