Great little camera
We've only had this camera a couple of weeks, but it seems to perform up to expectations. The price is very attractive and it's an advantage that it accepts all the RF lenses in the Canon line, and with an adapter all the EF lenses also. Basically Canon has a bazillion compatible lenses. What I don't like about the APS-C image sensor is that being smaller than a full frame image sensor, it only uses the center part of the image the RF lenses are capable of. For example, a 20mm RF lens on this camera has a field of view as if it was a 32mm lens, or a 50mm lens acts like an 80mm lens. The RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM (which as I say acts like a 29-72mm), is a great choice for most situations, and it's macro function is a valuable addition. The attached photo is an example of a macro photo from my garden.

A hopefully sound review of an amazing camera
Amazing quality, extremely lightweight, it's the perfect size for on the go use, and overall manages to exceed any possible worries when buying a camera. If you want a good camera and don't want to spend thousands on just the body, this camera is for you. I'm a fan of film, and I'd bought a different camera only to realize that it wasn't what I needed and then sprung for this one. I now have two separate lenses that accomplish the same goal at different distances, and this camera is absolutely stellar at recording, making it not just ideal, but a necessity for anyone who wants a quality picture. If you want good lens options, go with either the, "Canon RF16mm F2.8 STM Lens" or the "Canon RF35mm F1.8". Both are extremely amazing to pair with this, just make sure to buy a second battery (Canon Battery Pack LP-E17)(Image is a little blurry due to motion, the quality is top tier, you can see every hair on a person's face during photo mode)

Compact and beautiful!
Amazing entry camera for sure! This is my first camera, and made a combo with RF 50mm 1.8 lens. Such a great experience!

The best upgrade from my canon 7D!
The best decision I’ve made in a long time was upgrading from my Canon 7D to my new R50! I ordered the Body Only thinking it wouldn’t come with an adapter so I ordered one, turns out it came with a Canon brand adapter already attached to it so that was an amazing surprise! The quality of the images is amazing!the compatibility of my canon EF lenses with the adapter is even better! The noise level of the shutter doesn’t even compare to my canon 7D, the R50 Is so silent! And the size difference from the canon 7D with the battery grip is insane! The canon R50 is perfect for my small hands.I strongly feel like my decision to upgrade was the best especially knowing this camera is going to last me a good while!I named her Sid (from ice age), since my Canon 7D’s name is Mammoth 🤭 lol!

Perfect Starter Camera with Great Features and Room to Grow
I’ve been using the Canon EOS R50 Mirrorless Camera for a while now, and it’s been an excellent experience overall. This is a fantastic entry point into the mirrorless world, especially if you want something lightweight, intuitive, and capable of producing high-quality images right out of the box.The autofocus is fast and reliable, especially for people and everyday subjects. It locks on quickly and does a great job tracking, which makes it easy to capture sharp shots without constantly adjusting settings. The camera is also very user-friendly, with a clean interface and helpful guides that make learning photography much less intimidating.Image quality is impressive for its class. In good lighting conditions, photos come out sharp, vibrant, and detailed. It’s a great camera for travel, street photography, and casual shooting, and the compact size makes it easy to carry around all day. That said, there are some limitations. Low-light performance is not its strong suit. Even when using a fast f/1.8 prime lens, I noticed that images can get noisy fairly quickly, and maintaining sharpness without pushing ISO too high can be a challenge. It’s definitely something to keep in mind if you plan to shoot frequently at night or indoors without strong lighting.Overall, the R50 delivers a lot of value for the price. It’s a great camera to learn on and grow with, especially if you mostly shoot in good lighting conditions.

Overheating sucks, but overall a pretty good pick
It's really only good for 40m 4k30 recording before it gives up and takes an angry nap for a few minutes. I use it as a C cam, so this ain't ideal, but it's acceptable enough for the priceIf recording long sessions ain't a concern for you, yea I'd reccomend this one as a solid entry pick

A solid camera body
Such a solid camera body. I use it for family photography and it captures moving kids and adults with such ease. The autofocus is amazing and I’m so happy to see what else this thing can do!
