Very accurate and readable thermometer
This is a very nice pool thermometer. The numbers are easy to read and the unit assumes the correct posture immediately on going into the water.

Does exactly what I want it to
Large (9"?), seems sturdy - still, it is a mercury thermometer and would likely break if dropped (as any liquid thermometer would). Very legible, even for 74 year old eyes. I bought it to check the water temp when I kayak. Does the job. The two-foot line attached to it keeps it close. I'm quite satisfied.

Decent thermometer
Appears to work pretty well. If you don't submerge it by hand, it will float sideways and isn't accurate.

Thermometer for pool
Item was received broken. Apparently it is not eligible for refund either. It says I can't return it but gives me no options for refund

Great Price and Highly Accurate Thermometer
Tested the thermometer for accuracy using a very accurate test thermometer. Found the pool thermometer was accurate to within +/- 1 degree F. That is what I wanted and got. Highly recommended.

Floats, but..
It floats, but you need to put it in vertically and let it fill with water first. Otherwise it will lay on its side and give a false temp reading. Update - a few weeks later: seems the glass thermometer inside the housing came loose (?) and now it's no longer aligned with the temp readings. Can't tell what happened but it certainly should not have come apart inside like that. Now it's just floating junk. Will have to get something else for next season.

Easy to read
Just a floating thermometer. They normally last only a year so I dont wit a lot of money on more expensive ones.

As far as I can tell, the thermometer works fine, but the string disintegrated within one month :/
