Review: Best in the series - Lucy Score's latest novel, Things We Left Behind, is a heartwarming and passionate love story that stands out as one of the best in her series. Readers who have followed the Knockemout series from the beginning, like myself, have eagerly anticipated the story of Lucian and Sloane, and this book delivers on all fronts. Lucian Rollins is a wealthy mogul SUIT DADDY, determined to erase the scars his father left on the family name. He's a driven man, spending every moment building his empire and protecting himself from threats. But there's one woman who keeps him up at night, the feisty small-town librarian, Sloane Walton. Their shared history is dark, and they're enemies by circumstance, but their undeniable chemistry sparks a passionate one-night stand that neither can forget. However, when their fiery relationship begins to smolder into something more, their differences threaten to tear them apart. Lucian is a complex character, and learning about his past and the feud with Sloane is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. He's portrayed as icy and ruthless, but beneath the surface, he's a caring man who wants to protect those he loves. His interactions with Sloane are filled with witty banter and tension, making their relationship all the more enticing. Sloane, the spitfire librarian, is the perfect match for Lucian. She's strong, stubborn, sassy, and witty, providing a worthy counterpart to Lucian's demeanor. The evolution of their characters and their relationship is beautifully portrayed as they both slowly open up to each other, revealing their vulnerabilities. The chemistry between Lucian and Sloane is off-the-charts hot, and their romantic journey is filled with intense emotions. Their love story is beautifully crafted, and their connection is a joy to witness. Lucy Score's found family element in this series is always a highlight, and in this book, it adds depth and charm to the narrative. The closure provided for other characters' stories and the way the series wraps up are both satisfying and bittersweet. While the book has its moments of over-the-top drama and could benefit from trimming some extraneous details, the core of the story is so well-crafted that these issues are easily overlooked. In conclusion, Things We Left Behind is a poignant and passionate love story that will leave readers with all the feels. Lucy Score has delivered a memorable and captivating romance that stands as one of the best in the Knockemout series. Lucian and Sloane's journey is a testament to Score's storytelling prowess, and it's a must-read for fans of the series and newcomers alike. Review: Absolutely loved it! - I was super excited to get the third but in Lucy Score's Knockemout series. Sloane and Lucian have had some serious chemistry in the past two books so I couldn't wait for their backstory and to find out why they hated each other so vehemently. I was not disappointed. This book gave me some serious laugh out loud moments, the bickering between Sloane and Lucian was hilarious and really kept me going but, there was a few times it got a bit annoying admittedly. I felt the middle of the book had a bit of a lull but then the end really picked up. When Sloane and Lucian finally got together the book was fire, some of those scenes were just, WOW! Not sure I can put words to it but let's say she wrote it really well. From the beginning of the book their chemistry was insane and it only got better as the book went on. I need me a Lucian in my life. The overall story arc over all three books with Anthony Hugo, was a bit slow in this book compared to the rest but it had a nice twist towards the end and was wrapped up really well. I'm quite sad to see the end to the Knockemout series, I've loved all three books. All the characters were written really well and filled with lots of comedic moments aswell as really serious tense moments.

Steamy fun trilogy
Great conclusion and I found it an enjoyable read considering it is a book that is going back and forth from 2 people's perspectives and two timelines, which generally I don't enjoy much. Typical type plot for this series .. angry couple, argue and fight against their feelings, then they give in, then they break up, then one is endangered, makes the other realise they don't want to lose them, get together, put all surrounding stoeylines into conclusion and done! Good characters, plots, and enjoyable to read.

The perfect ending to the Knockemout series!
𝘏𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵. "𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘴. 𝘐 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦. 𝘐 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭." Anyone who knows me, knows how impatient I've been for Lucian and Sloane's story— because I literally haven't stopped talking about it, and now that it's here, and l've read it; I can't believe that the Knockemout series has come to an end. Lucian and Sloane had me gripped from the first moment they shared an interaction in the Things We Never Got Over, and I was surviving on the crumbs that were in the Things We Hide From The Light. It's only after reading the Things We Left Behind, I understand now, why Lucian's story was last because simply put, I am ruined for any other fictional man. Lucian was or should I say, convinced that he was a broken man after growing up in a broken home. He was able to find solace in the girl next door, our very own bookworm, Sloane, and her family, until a dark secret came between them, igniting a two decade feud. The slow burn between Lucian and Sloane was pure insanity, as Lina once said, 'it'll shift the earth's axis and send us spinning off into space' kind of insane sexual tension; their banter was unmatched, and Lucian was the true definition of boy obsessed. I loved the flashbacks scenes, where we finally learnt how they became to be lifelong enemies. Suit Daddy Rollins and his filthy mouth will be living in my head rent free for the foreseeable! And let's not forget the epilogue and that bonus epilogue that Lucy blessed us with. It wrapped up the end to the series beautifully and emotionally, I'm not sure how I'll be able to recover. 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀 - billionaire romance - childhood best friends - enemies to lovers - found family - grumpy/sunshine - small town romance

I adored this book and missed Knockemout as soon as I finished reading! Once again Lucy Score wrote a beautiful story full of romance, comedy, steam, mystery, and emotionally charged moments that are bound to bring tears to your eyes. Sloane and Lucian were great together, and he became my favorite Knockemout hero. I loved the way the whole mystery was wrapped up and that we not only got to see previous characters again (namely Nolan, Stef and Jeremiah), but also got to know new ones such as Emry and Petula. Definitely one of the best books I've read this year, I highly recommend it!

Suit Daddy and the Pixie. Incredible, amazing, stunning and just perfect. I was so excited for Lucian and Sloane’s story and Lucy Freaking Score did not disappoint. Lucian feels so broken and thinks all his past trauma means he can’t love Sloane the way he wants to. Sloane slowly shows him that he can love and be loved just as he is and that his past doesn’t define him. He’s secretly sweet, protective, loyal, strong, and has a huge heart. Sloane is just sassy sweet perfection. Her dedication to the library and the town is amazing. She feels guilty about her role in Lucian’s past and pretends to hate him when really she’s loved him since she was a teenager. She’s smart, loving and loyal. Lucian and Sloane’s chemistry is off the charts. The banter is funny and when they finally get together it’s playful and so so hot. Like burning my eyeballs hot. One of my favourite scenes was the photo shoot. Knox directing Sloane was utterly hilarious. I loved the little nods to the other books too: “I pulled on a blue bathrobe with daisies while Lucian yanked on his underwear.” “She wore her blonde hair cut bluntly at the shoulders, black pants, neon-green heels, and a pale-pink leather blazer emblazoned with lilies of the valley.” I see what you did there Ms. Score. Add in the amazing town of Knockemout, pain, hope, love, suspense, lots of heat and an HEA and this is the perfect ending to the incredible series.

I didn’t really get into this story until chapter 9. But after that point I couldn’t stop reading. This was the most heartfelt story of the series. Lucian and Sloane are so good together, they just had to admit it! They went from friends to enemies to lovers. And wow, they love pretty hard! They have so much chemistry, it burned my pages!
