Fallen Stars (The Heavenly Bodies Series) Paperback – 11 Feb. 2023

I finished this book just before midnight last night and 16hrs later I’ve only just begun to process what the hell happened. I, like others, am simultaneously pulled between the wanting to hug Imani & yell at her for what we just want through.The characters are dynamic and multidimensional. You think you know who you’ll love but others have a way of sneaking up on you (Eli - I’m looking at you). I loved that we have a full hell raising vengeful FMC that will do anything for her man. Elara truly came into her own and it was a joy to see. Furthermore, the love and humour between the characters was *chef’s kiss*, and the spice, top notch - I didn’t know gangplanks could be so erotic (IYKYK).The world building is so rich and deep and well thought through that everything has a meaning whether you realise it at the time or not. The lore is so well connected and intertwined that it adds a whole other dimension to the storytelling.Speaking of storytelling, the plot twists!!! Talk about a rollercoaster of a journey. I knew it was too good to be true but I was not expecting that ending!This book was a masterpiece of creativity - I laughed, cried, nearly threw my kindle thanks to the ending and sat in pure shock at times. I had a countdown on for this book, waiting to come out. It was a good follow up story with new characters introduced. I think a little *too* raunchy in places - I’m all for the smut but sometimes it felt a little ‘thrown in’ without any need for it. Other than that, I really enjoyed the story and will be reading the next one to see what happens!

Truly in love with the way imani writes, her story telling is next level and I’ve loved reading the heavily bodies story so far. I love every character, every place they visit and the way they’re described. These books truly take you on a journey and they’re so descriptive I can really fall into my imagination of how I picture celestia to be. I cannot wait for holy monsters, I need it now!❤️

Read me, read Heavenly Bodies first. True romantasy, fun, easy going, passionate, light-hearted. Love the characters, fated bond, multiple lives, elemental Gods and Goddesses, hurt them and you die vibes, enemies to lovers,portals, seers, spice.

What a sequel, what a book, Imani has knocked it out of the park (and beyond) yet again! I absolutely love the world building that Imani has done with this book, the worlds we visit and sail through in this book was unmatched and a true spectacle to read.The reintroduction to Adrian was *chefs kiss* and such a great added character to the pride, and his introduction didn't skimp out on developing our other characters! The development of our pride as a whole as well was such a joy to read, some nail biting moments that I really didn't know which way it would turn, but kept me turning the page as quick as anything!It's a chonker of a book, but definitely worth it! I absolutely can't wait for the next instalment and continue this journey we have endeavoured on, to read what beautiful worlds we will be visiting! Thank you Imani!

Where do I begin with this book… everything about this book I am in love with, as a massive fantasy lover Imani covers every fantasy readers dream. From the world building to the characters to the spice (did someone say spicy cove, gangplank and alter scene) You will fall in love with it all! Celestia is my comfort home and escape, going back and reading more about the worlds and learning more about the characters was a dream! I’m unsure if a book out there can place my love for this one! Imani has totally out done herself with this book! The plots everything I’m left speechless and needing more already!!

The author tries very hard. The constant over explaining of every scenario has left little time for dialogue to forward the story and leaves the reader unsatisfied and exhausted. The sex scenes are juvenile, I imagine the author is young, because although there is an attempt to make them seem romantic or lustful, they feel desperate and again, over described and drawn out, and not always necessary to progressing the narrative. It took longer to read then it should because it was an exhausting read that was dragged out.I enjoyed the general premise of the book, it just felt like the author was trying too hard.

The plot twists and storytelling left me speechless and jaw dropped wide open multiple times. Such a descriptive narrative with witty dialogue between characters that makes you feel you are there in Celestia with them. Could not be prouder of Imani and this amazing sequel. Roll on October 💛

I was so deeply emotionally attached to the first book I waited two months before reading the second, because I was afraid that it wouldn’t hit the same. And when I tell you IM OBSESSED. It was everything and more. I love it.

Where to begin, really?I discovered Miss Erriu's first novel, Heavenly Bodies, a little over a year ago on TikTok. From the very first video I saw, I was hooked. I was just getting into the fantasy genre as somebody who--a few years ago--would have labeled themselves an avid reader of anything but fantasy. For reasons I still don't fully understand, the videos I was seeing about his debut work called to me? It was an instant buy for me as soon as it hit Amazon on February 14 of 2022. After painstakingly forcing myself to keep my eyes open for an entire 24 hours, I finished HB and FELL. IN. LOVE. I was obsessed. Enthralled. Beguiled. Completely and utterly enraptured in this world Imani created. I knew then and there that anything she wrote after would be an instant buy. I don't even need to read the premise. Just give it to me.Here we are a year later. Fallen Stars is EVERYTHING. She told me in a DM recently that she was worried it wouldn't live up to HB. Imani, PLEASE put some respect on your own name! You are a mastermind. Fallen Stars was delivered to me this February 14th, and I literally could not part with it. If I didn't have a job I was required to be at, I probably would have finished FS in less than 24 hours.Enzara's story was better this time around than the first (yes, I know, it's shocking). Their love comes back in droves. You feel as though you're right there with them experiencing the highs and lows of being THE greatest couple in all of Celestia (and other places *smirk*). THE SIDE CHARACTERS. I could not get enough of Adrian. I simply live and breathe for my comedy king. Nearly every time the book had me audibly giggling was when I was reading one of his perfect lines.Can we take a moment for the PLOT TWISTS??? Gahhhhh. I always say I can't stand a book with predictable plot twists. Well, per usual, Miss Erriu takes the cake for perfect plot twists. Especially the last one. Never in a million years would I have predicted it. I was flabbergasted. Confounded. Absolutely flummoxed. I don't know how she does it, but I pray it never stops.It's hard to remember everything I wanted to say about this book, so I may need to come back with an updated review once I have it a re-read VERY soon. It truly breaks me when I finish these books and have to leave the world of Celestia AGAIN. That's how I know these books are supreme.Closing statements:FIVE STARS ACROSS THE BOARD. Immaculate. I would not change a thing. Imani if you see this, please keep the books coming. I will read anything you give me. Write my eulogy, honestly.

I loved how the reader could piece together the puzzle pieces all along the way and still be shocked... I can't believe that I have to wait more than a year for the next book.

Just so in love with the idea of soulmates and the way it is shown in this book. I love a story which is strong in both the romantic element and features an engaging plot!

The second book to the series, flew through it in a matter of days! (While working during the day). The plot progression is amazing and even though you feel like you're getting little clues on future events, it still catches you off guard no matter what.Can't wait for book 3!!
