Compact nice design, it's just a charger, but done right

6 Weeks Later Not Working
It worked once or twice when it was first bought. After a couple of weeks, the charger itself stopped working — the light band which indicates power wouldn’t light up, and was not charging the computer. Tried multiple outlets in multiple homes with no effect. It is now beyond the return period for the item, and now way to reach the vendor. Save yourself the trouble.

Feels better, costs less.
Feels better quality than he actual dell replacement chargers. The last two I've bought from Dell have lasted about 7 months, so I'm hoping this one will work better. Hopefully I'll update.

Save your money!!!!
Despite all the bad reviews about the charger not working. I decided to give it a chance and they where right. The charger charged my PC once and then stopped working.

Poorly constructed and prone to overheating
The connection between the AC adapter and the power cord is poorly made; the pieces become detached frequently throughout the day, and the cord has to be shoved back in to continue charging. The adapter is also prone to overheating to the point that it's almost impossible to touch. I'm concerned that the heat it generates could cause a fire hazard if I throw it into my backpack after working.

Works great so far -- I'll certainly update as time goes ...
My Dell XPS 13 power supply died and, while it's under warranty, I didn't want to deal with the hassle of getting a replacement from Dell. I figure I'll contact them at some point later but in the meantime, I found this gem. It's very well made, hasn't gotten too hot, and has the feel of a genuine or more premium adapter. Works great so far -- I'll certainly update as time goes on.
