The book outlines all of the parts and contributors at work in building a pop group (in this case, one out of thin air). It's complex and fun at the same time.

Loved reading about one of my favorite bands/shows as a kid. Engaged by all the stories about the band and how they got to the top.

Love this book

The Monkees: Made in Hollywood accomplishes what I thought was an impossibility. It actually takes all the fun out of reading about The Monkees. While the author begins with an interesting premise, it is never really effectively executed and overall the book offers no real new understanding or insight on The Monkees.
