Q: Does it hold to the wall or tend to pull out with the weight of the plugs?

I've purchased eight of these and mounted them both vertically and horizontally at both my home and my summer home and none have ever pulled out. Remove the outlet cover plate and use the supplied screw to screw it into the receptacle. The plug will plug into one outlet and the supporting plastic pins will plug into the other outlet. Along with the included mounting screw, this outlet doesn't pull out, even when unplugging a device that has a tight plug fit.

Q: What type and size of screw is for this? The one I received is to short and I need to find a longer one

Take the short screw to a Hardware store (Like ACE). Tell the person in hardware that you need a (same) type of screw however it needs to be longer. The way you estimate how much longer is that you screw in the screw supplied with the wall adapter and measure how far it extends past THE MOUNTING SURFACE OF THE ADAPTER, use a straight edge (Ruler) and Tape measure. Then add 1/2 inch and that is the length you will need. Also if you have left the old wall plate on the plug socket remove it and try screwing the adapter on without the wall plate. That may work using just the original screw......Good luck.
