It's over 1,000 lbs. The thickness of the steel is variable, from 7 gauge to 14 gauge depending on the part.

im 5'4, if i lay on my back will i be able to have my feet flat on the floor or will they be dangeling?

You should have no problem laying your feet flat on the floor! The bench sits at about 17.5" high in the flat position, and we have employees as short as 5'3" that use the bench with no problems. Hope this helps! - Team Rep Fitness

From looking at the pictures above, how does the bench not tip over? Legs look to contact the floor at only 2 points instead of the usual 3 or 4.

This bench is solid. It's hits 3 points 2 at the shoulder and one on the bottom. I researched adjustable benchs for a few weeks setting up my home gym and for the capabilities and weight capacity it's he best out there. It was also easy to assemble. I lift 6 days a week and press over 300 you will be more then satisfied.
