Works with Raspberry Pi, perfect for controlling GoPiGO using PS3 Controller
Works with Raspberry Pi, but if you are using the latest distros of wheezy-raspbian you'll provably need to do some extra work.I first the used GoPiGo wheezy-raspbian image and there is something wrong with that image that keeps the Bluetooth manager icon from being available on the GUI, so I I did a fresh install of Raspbian using NOOBS and the installed all the libraries I needed including the ones for GoPiGo.So using the latest distros of wheezy-raspbian the problem is that when you click on the Bluetooth manager no window appears, it wont open! This is how I solved this issue:(IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO INSTALL THE DRIVERS TO USE THE DONGLE SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE REVIEW UNDER "INSTALLATION PROCESS")Assuming you already have the drivers installed, run the following command using ssh or terminal to make that the service starts:/etc/init.d/bluetooth start(IF IT FAILS YOU ARE PROVABLY USING AN OS IMAGE WITH THE SAME ISSUE I HAD WITH THE GoPiGo IMAGE)check to see whether the bluetooth is live by running the following command:/etc/init.d/bluetooth status I added "pi" to the "lp" group and all is now sweetness and light!open a text editor(you can use NANO with CLI or LeafPad with GUI) open /etc/groupscroll down to find the lp groupmine said lp:x:7:add pi to the end (lp:x:7:pi)save to home directory as "group.new"exit editorIf you were using the GUI open LXTerminalsudo cp group.new /etc/groupsudo reboottype starx on the CLI to Log in to the GUI and and look for the bluetooth manager icon on the task bar or in preferencesINSTALLATION PROCESSmake sure we've got the latest firmware drivers by running the following commands:Sudo apt-get update(This updates the list of available packages and their versions, but it does not install or upgrade any packages.)Sudo apt-get upgrade(This actually installs newer versions of the packages you have. After updating the lists, the package manager knows about available updates for the software you have installed.)Sudo apt-get autoremove(This will then remove all of the reduntant packages after the latest upgrade)We're now ready to install the software we need to interact with the bluetooth dongle!Sudo apt-get install bluetooth bluez-utils bluemanplug the dongleYou can run a quick check on the command line to see if the bluetooth device has been successfully registered:lsusb(This will list the currently connected USB devices)This should yield the following connected device:Bus 001 Device 005: 1D 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HC1 mode)You can also check to see whether the bluetooth is live by running the following command:/etc/init.d/bluetooth status(This command will give you basic functionality, by replacing 'status' with the following - 'start', 'stop', 'restart', 'force-reload')Running 'status' should yield the following status message:[ ok ] bluetooth is runningNext we need to scan for devices:hcitool scanThis will show any devices in range of the dongle, for example my mobile phone.68:69:7C:31:9A:75 JAKE-IPHONE _______________________________________________________________________________________http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=23996https://www.modmypi.com/blog/installing-the-raspberry-pi-nano-bluetooth-donglehttp://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/http://www.dexterindustries.com/GoPiGo/learning/python-programming-for-the-raspberry-pi-gopigo/installing-gopigo-python-library/http://www.dexterindustries.com/GoPiGo/?s=ps3&submit=search

Better than expected using Toshiba Bluetooth Stack drivers
I ordered this product specifically to connect my Wii U Motion Plus Wiimote to my pc to play on Dolphin emulator. This worked and works with the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack for Windows that is needed to hook up the newer Wiimote plus rvl-cnt-01-tr (see this guide: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/wii-remote-plus-rvl-cnt-01-tr-connection-guide/). I plugged it in to my Asus with Windows 7 X64 and Windows installed its own drivers, I then installed the Toshiba drivers, and after a restart I synced up the Wiimote and was playing games, you can even set it up to replace your mouse, Microsoft or Nintendo has some guides out there somewhere.I ordered this one for the Prime Two-Day shipping, arrived as expected 2nd day.I did not know that this was going to be compatible with the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack drivers, and I was worried for the two days it took to arrive after I realized I had not checked for compatibility. Luckily as it turned out, CSR is a compatible Bluetooth dongle. Those of you having trouble installing with the included disk drivers or Windows drivers, try out the link I included above and download the most recent Toshiba Bluetooth Stack drivers for free. They should have a posting date of 2014, you can use the prior link to guide you through the installation for the drivers, just skip the Wiimote instructions. I used those drivers so I could hook up my Wiimote but they should be good for any Bluetooth device, probably better then other drivers. Here is the link to the drivers directly: http://support.toshiba.com/support/viewContentDetail?contentId=4004901

Works great! Even with Linux (Debian/wheezy)
I don't what all Bluetooth devices this might work with, but it works on my Linux (Debian/Wheezy) just fine. I didn't add anything new and running the 'dmesg' command clearly shows it is loaded with a driver. I didn't use the mini-disc that came with is, I suppose that's for Windows anyhow.I tested it to connect to my XT1080 Motorola/Android, which worked flawlessly. As a test, I transferred a file from my android to my laptop and another from my laptop to the phone. No hitches. Everything seems to work just fine.

Add a little pleasure into your life with the ease of sending signals from your pc to your Bluetooth speakers and relax.
I am pleased with the BATTOP Bluetooth CRS Dongle that I purchased from Amagoing. This little devise practically sets itself up. I plugged it into my USB port and with in seconds the Bluetooth logo is nicely shining at the bottom of my screen. A couple of minutes later it discovered 3 different speakers, pairing 2 and connecting with the third. Solid signal and solid sound are just a step away with the BATTOP Dongle. I'm enjoying mine and I believe that if you purchase one that you will enjoy yours as well.

Awesome, inexpensive Bluetooth 4.0 Dongle
I'm really happy with this bluetooth dongle! It's small enough that once plugged in, it is out of the way nicely. My Dell M90 has bluetooth built-in but it is the older Bluetooth 2.0 which didn't stream the audio very reliably. This Bluetooth dongle plugged into any available USB port and Windows already had the drivers for it. I did disable the onboard bluetooth module in Windows Device Manager to avoid any confusion. Now I have paired my Blueant Q2 headset as well as a cheap over-the-ears bluetooth headphones set and they work perfectly! So nice listening to stuff on the computer with NO WIRES!Thank you DKING and Amazon!
