I bought a cheapy one and did not follow my own mantra of buy once cry once... The cheapy one lasted not even a year before it died without warning. This is the exact charger that came with my HP Laptop to start with and now lives in our RV.

HP lacks customer service
My computer did not have the AC adaptor. I spend a week with HP to replace it as they were out and wanted to ship it Dec 7. I was told I could buy it and HP would reimburse me, so I did. However, HP's 1-2 days shipping means that they will ship it 1-2 days after they have it. I am guess Dec 7.
