ProsThis case makes your phone look like you could put it through a brick wall and it would be OK.ConsIt is a little hard to push the volume and power buttons on the sides of your phoneIT KILLS YOUR SIGNAL. I should have realized that putting my phone in a metal box would affect my signal, but I was swayed by the ascetics of the case. If you are in a weak cellphone coverage area you will not get any coverage. Unless you're using your phone as a glorified iPod, I would avoid this case.

I bought this for my bf. he loves it! Nicer than I expected! Only issue is that the metal weakens your cell signal.

This is one of my favorite iphone bumpers, I wish they made them for the iphone 5. The bumper is metal and slightly heavy but really sturdy. It is easy to put on and looks gorgeous with the right skin.

Pointless. It seemed like a good idea, looked different, not see anyone else with this before. There is reason for this - as soon as you put the case on, and before finishing turning the screws you can see the signal bars deplete. Is this made of kryptonite ? If you are buying the Iphone5 and will just need to use your iphone 4gs as an ipod - this is perfect.

I had been looking forward to getting this case for days. After it arrived, I put it on my iPhone. It fit like a glove, and it really gave the phone a substantial, rugged, manly feel. The quality was excellent, and the material was just as described. What more could I ask for in a case?Well, the big letdown was the fact that the case seriously diminishes the 3G signal strength of the iPhone. I saw that someone else wrote a review listing a similar problem, but I thought that maybe it wouldn't affect the 4S because of a revamped antenna design by Apple. It turns out that I was wrong. I ran connection speed tests on the phone using the speedtest.net app from my living room, which generally has very good service and quick data speeds. With the case fully installed, I was getting less than half of the top speed that I got with the case off. For instance, I ran the test with the case on and I got approx. 2-3 Mbps download & 0.2 Mbps upload. I took the case off and ran the test again and I got speeds in the range of 5 Mbps download & 1.5 Mbps upload. That is quite significant.The case may offer some of the best physical protection of a lot of the cases out there, but if it significantly affects the functionality of the phone in a negative way, then this case is a failure in my opinion. I'm still disappointed in this, because I really like the design, feel, and look of the case.

The bumper case looks good, but does not fully protect. My teen dropped his phone and the back cracked. If you are looking for full body protection, do not purchase this product. It's for looks only!
