Classic Camembert Baker and Cover by BIA International

Love these bakers, I bought one for myself and my mother in law at Christmas last year and they've proved a big hit! Friends are always impressed. I stud my cheese with garlic and rosemary, pop in the oven for 30 minutes and serve with lovely fresh baguette. Great as a starter, or pudding. Or main. Or just all three courses. Lovely gift for foodies.

Good stocking filler

As this is a Christmas gift for a friend I haven't used it yet, and therefore cannot comment on that. However, it certainly looks just like the photos and looks attractive enough to serve up on a smart table for guests! It arrived very safely in a gift box, which looks just like the actual ceramic baker, packaged with extra bubble wrap. This was placed inside a bigger box, with extra paper padding. Some tasty-looking recipes are included. I'm very pleased with my purchase; I just wish I'd bought one for me! PS: I saw the same one in JLewis last week for £2.50 more!

This was purchased as a gift and the recipient was very pleased with it. It was well packed in a box mirroring the dish's design and is a good quality ceramic dish. Apparently the results when cooking in it are excellent!!

I bought this and the little plates for my husbands birthday and we have used it 3 times now. Product feels quite sturdy and was well packaged in matching packaging (thick card box) - so not likely to break in transit. We have baked with this in an electric fan oven 3 times and it has worked really well each time. A little garlic and rosemary in the baker and it makes a fun starter My only slight gripe is the baker only just fits a camembert in and it sometimes a tight fit meaning the lid can be a little 'glued on' with the cheese. Not a problem as such, but you have to make sure you have a good grip on it before taking the lid off.

This is a lovely little cheese baker. My 4 star rating reflects the fact that I am not sure if the lid will be difficult to remove when it is hot. It seems to be fairly tight fitting. As it was purchased as a present I am unlikely to try it !!!

One of my work colleagues had one of these delivered on the Monday (from another supplier) and I just loved the look of it. I ordered it that very afternoon from Emporium-Cookshop and it was delivered on Thursday morning! Fantastic delivery and packaging (much better than my colleagues!). I am giving this as a present for Xmas but I can wait until then to use it..... Thanks

Normally I'm not one to fuss over the attractiveness of my kitchenware - I'm more about whether it's useful and sturdy, not Pinterest-ready - I have to admit this is more about being a serving piece, so I wanted a baker that was attractive. This comes just as pictured - in fact, it comes in a box that looks exactly like the baker, so it was confusing for a second ;) - and worked really well to bake a soft cheese and contain it. I baked a beautiful soft, French, "stinky" cheese for Christmas, and our guest - who studied cooking in France - thought it was very pretty and sturdy and it was a nice weight for holding everything in. This will take some time to arrive - it does come from Europe and the box will come with the custom form on the outside to prove it - so don't buy this if you need to bake a camembert tomorrow. But, if you know you like to bake cheese from time to time? It's a nice purchase. And I kept the box it came in as it protects it nicely, but is also easy to identify since it looks exactly like the baker. (Actually, it makes it convenient to throw in a tote bag and bring to wherever you buy your cheese - when I went to my local cheese shop, I brought it to make sure I chose something that actually fit inside.)

Diese Box ist einfach nur schön. Von mir liebevoll genannt: "Camembert-Gefängnis"! Ein großer Käse (Le Rustique) sitzt passgenau drin. Ich habe das Papier drum gelassen, damit ich ihn besser bei Tisch raus nehmen und schneiden kann. Und das Gefängnis hält wirklich dicht!!!! Nichts duftet außerhalb rum. Ich empfehle sehr gerne dieses schöne Produkt. - PS: Selbst die Box, in der das "Gefängnis" drin geliefert wurde, kann wunderbar weiter verwendet werden. Herzlichen Dank dafür.
