Very discrete. Not your grandmas old ashtray. Love it.

Wrong colour and obvious defect.

There was a piece of plastic wedged in between the metal part of the ashtray and the wood cover. I was not able to remove it. I didn’t want to smell burning plastic every time someone used it, so I sent it back. There was also a small place on the edge of the lid that was marred, making me believe it was not very durable. Definitely not for outdoor use unless it’s a covered area.

The lid cover pulls the metallic ashtray up every time you open it. There are two very small and weak magnets at the bottom that is supposed to prevent this but unfortunately they do not work. I can only imagine if I actually used the ashtray that I would make a mess because of this. To me this is a major design flaw that defeats the purpose of buying an ashtray with a lid.
