Supports needed to be altered to work well - the long beams will easily bow out if allowed to under weight
UPDATE: I added some custom cross-beams - one at the center underneath each shelf - to keep the longer supports from bowing out at all. This fixed my problem and now all of the shelves are held up fine. I haven't noticed the shelves bending too much under the weight of the boxes, they seem to do pretty well as long as they are supported on all sides. The cross-beams are just made of 1x2 wood, nothing fancy. Just enough to hold the supports in place.Really disappointed, I had high hopes for this shelving unit. But the shelves do not actually support the weight they should given the structure can supposedly hold 2500 lbs, 500 per shelf. I put the unit together and started loading it up, a few shelves had slipped with a couple boxes on them, but that was easy enough to fix and get started loading the shelf again. It was when I had completely loaded the bottom 3 shelves and was halfway through the fourth shelf that it fell through, which caused every lower shelf to subsequently fall through and I had to completely unload the entire unit. Very frustrating.Pros:Easy to put together, only a rubber mallet neededThe shelf location is very flexible, allowing customization (Note that because of the coupler halfway up, you can't use 2 of the positions, and each shelf uses 2, so it's one limitation)Good looking shelfI don't doubt that the structure would hold more than enough weight for my needsCons:The shelves themselves are easily bent. The heaviest shelf I loaded was no more than 300 lbs, when they are advertised to hold 500 each. By the time I got less than halfway through loading the shelf, I could already see it bending. The long supports (referred to as beams in instructions) are not rigid enough and can therefore bow out in the middle, allowing the shelf to slip off the support.Because the shelves are not solid, you do need to be careful not to store things which are too small as they could fall between the wire rack shelf. No leveling feet. It turns out the cement floor in my garage is not level, so neither is the shelfIf the beams were more rigid or there were a middle support to hold them together, this unit would be much easier to deal with. And if the shelves were actually solid enough to hold the weight advertised, it would be wonderful, as great as I was expecting.

Sturdy when assembled properly.
Cons: Package received damaged. Missing one connector piece.Pros: easy to assemble despite poor instructions (line drawing only. Hard to interpret orientation of parts.)Despite reviews saying that this is not sturdy, it is very sturdy and should hold the 500 pounds per shelf as rated.Photos of buckled shelves in other reviews, show them missing the cross pieces which provides the inherent strength. Also, since the instructions do not point out orientation of parts, it is easy to mistakenly assemble the shelf supports upside down, which would probably allow the shelves to slip thorough, as they need to sit on the lip all the way around.

Missing pieces but a good size
there were some missing pieces but this is one of the only shelves that meets our size needs so i had to order spare parts at home depot. very responsive seller and well priced.

Seems good if you get all the pieces in the box..UPDATED
I purchased two of these racks. One went together fine with use of a rubber mallet. The second one was missing a piece...Or rather the person who packaged it miss counted. I received one extra side piece and one too few long pieces. The result is an almost complete rack, but the top rack can not be completed as it is missing the long cross section piece. I have sent in a request to have that piece delivered to me so I can complete my rack. If the customer service is good, I will change my review to reflect 5 stars as the second rack seems fine and sturdy, but I can't recommend an incomplete product.Edit: the manufacturer's customer service was great. I go no help through Amazon or the seller. Once I contacted the manufacturer, I got my replacement price within a couple days. Rack is solid, and the company is great, only tarnished to a 4 star review because of the seller and Amazon refusing to fix the problem in a reasonable manner.

Good product EXCEPT measurements provided.
I was replacing 24" shelving* on a false floor designed to isolate racks from adjacency to a floor that routinely gets dampness and even a hose down now and then. False floor was actually built to 24.5" dimension to allow 'wiggle room' and easily accommodated ' 24" ' shelving. Unfortunately I'm needing to now line my false floor with 2 x 4 to accommodate the shelf width which is beyond 25". Seems a small issue until you have garage torn apart for reorg and you need to move to a plan B. The illustrations and assembly documentation could also be much better. The materials themselves are in fact high quality for the money.* I'm wondering if the actual measurements are nice round metric measures...OH the price we sometimes pay for being backward imperial measurement Americans sometimes!

The product is good quality. The wire rack system needs to be ...
This is a quality rack for storing large things that don't weigh a whole lot. The product is good quality. The wire rack system needs to be braced such that when something heavy is placed on the rack the front and rear horizontal steel braces do not flex and drop the whole thing down on the lower section. Also, be prepared to buy something to cover the wire rack so that there is a smooth surface for your products to sit on. If I had to do it again, I would buy a stronger shelf system that uses wood shelves that are braced to the frame.

Meh...
I bought five of the large shelves for use in my garage. Three of them are holding general garage stuff like gardening supplies, christmas things, etc. These three seem to be performing well. The other two I planned to use to store comic books in boxes. They are totally not strong enough. The shelves wouldn't hold the boxes (single stacked long boxes) and the metal frame bent and collapsed on both of the units. In addition to being woefully weak, we received the wrong parts for these two units and it took us two times to get the correct parts sent (they did get us the parts though). Anyway, if you are thinking that these shelves would work for heavy things (not massively heavy and definitely within the weight limit) then don't waste your money. Get something sturdier otherwise you'll have to make some serious modifications to make sure they don't buckle.
