Razer does not disappoint.
The only reason I bought this was because my original Black Widow Chroma V2 got drenched in tea. So I go on the hunt and find out they no longer make that keyboard. I purchased two other Razer keyboards and even though they were great, nothing to me beats the Black Widow keyboards. The comfort of the wrist rest is great and it doesn't matter if I'm working, cruising the net or gaming, it's a comfortable go. I do love the color picking ability and I keep it on one color for everything and it looks awesome! You will have to be careful of the buttons on the left side of the keyboard but other than that the smoothness of typing is great. I am a very particular person when it comes to what my keyboard feels and sounds like. Yes, this is a "clicker" keyboard and I absolutely love that. The speed of typing is awesome, the response time keeps you moving, so no complaint there. The biggest complaint I have is the software. I never had a problem with it keeping my settings, starting back up after a reboot, opening up in general. I have all the buttons clicked for it to start up at boot, log in and everything, but 9 times out of 10 I have to open it back up, log in to Synapse and then it starts doing what I want. Also, I truly miss the Chroma extras of the headphone jack and usb port on the right side. This does have a usb port on the back, but you tend to forget about it because of the location. So, everything is great about this keyboard, some things take a little getting used to, like the roller wheel volume control, but like all new things it will grow on you. Is it worth the money, that all depends on your own personal preference. I broke down and spent the money because I knew I would be happy with keyboard and will last for years, as long as I don't spill tea on it.

If you dont mind spending the money, the quality is absolutely there for this keyboard
Over all I will say that I typically really enjoy razer products and my wife gifted me this keyboard and I absolutely love it. the aluminum metal makes it feel very durable and just a overall great feeling so the build quality is really felt once you hold it in your hands. Easy plug and play and works well with the razer program. The extra keys are easy to program if you need it. This is a heavier keyboard so its not something I would recommend for like traveling. The color options are good just like most rgb keyboards. I personally like the clicky'ness of blue switches so I can tell you that the green switches sound great IF you like that sound. It is loud if you get the green switches so if your going to be using this near someone or just don't want keys that are a bit loud defiantly get red switches. The keyboard just feels so nice when typing and pretty much anyone I let try it or use it falls in love with it to. It definatelly has a more premium price but you can feel it in the quality of the keyboard. If you want something that will last you and feel great I would recommend this keyboard. Highly recommend.

It will break, and their warranty process is a joke. Please read
First - there are typos/repeated letters all over this review, it's because of the KEYBOARD, not because I can't type. Every single typo or mispelling in this post is because of the keyboard duplicating keypresses, and I'm leaving them as-is so you get an iddea of what a piece of junk this is. Pleaese read on to understand more, as this isn't even the biggest problem. This keyboard would be pretty good if it actually worked / didn't break, and then Razer's warranty process wasn't a total joke. Let me explain. I've been a heavy computer user for over 30 years. In that time I've only had a handful of keyboards, maybe 5-6 total, and nothing ever high-end. In all that time, not one of them ever experienced a hardware failure, except for one I spilled water on. Finally I pony up for a 'nice' keyboard like this. After about 6 months of moderate use it literally bricked itself on a normal computer shutdown. I did a normal Start Button - Shutddown windows, and when the computer turned off, all the lights ono the keyboard turned red like it hadd literally died, andd stayed that way. That would have actually been funny except for what happened next. I initiatedd the warranty process with Razzer. They respond at most once per day to your request only on business days, moving along fairly back-andd-forth until they get to the ridiculous step of making me take a video of the problem and sending it to them. Fine, finally they accept it's defective (took 8 business days to geet to this point) and they sendd me an RMA number and on to the next stage of the warranty process. At this point, you now have the choice of either sending the deefective unit back to them and they will not sendd a new one until they verify it's broken (which would take at least 3-4 full weeks), OR, you can pay the FULL retail price for them to expedite shipping a neewe one to you, and they will eventually refund you once they confirm it's defective. Fine, I choose that one, because I need a good keyboard for my professional work ASAP. Payment is processed immediately, then a full week goes by with no updatees. I contact them to see what the holdup us, and then for the next 3 weeks straight, I get the same response "it will ship in 1-2 days". At least 6 responses of this BS. Keep in mind I paid almost $300 for them to expedite the replacement, and their website said it would ship within 3-5 days. Finally, after a FULL MONTH it ships from China, and finally arrivese another week and a half after that. So I paid $300 (eventually refunded) for 1.5 month expedited shipping. Amazing. Now, this new keyboard, straight from their factory, has developed an issue after only 4 months of repeating key presses, as you can see from all the typos in this reveiew (again, ANY misspelling or typo is due to the keyboard, not me, I am leaving them as they appear and eedditing out my own typos). So, this second new keyboard straight from their factory is now garbage again, and their warranty on this new keyboardd is only 90 days, so I can't even get a replacement for this garbage now. Avoid Razer, their low quality products and their joke of support/warranty. I will neveer buy another one of their products again, andd you shouldn't eeither. Totally ridiculous.

Another great product from Razer, and since all of my gear is Razer, it only made sense to go with a Razer keyboard. I have the Green switches, and I've seen a few reviews of people saying how loud the green switches are, and I can tell you from experience, they are not as loud as I was expecting them to be. Razer says these are the Gen 2 Green Switches and are supposed to be better. A friend of mine has an older Razer keyboard with green switches and his keyboard is a bit louder than mine. I guess over time the keys will feel different and may sound a bit louder, but for the time being the tactile and clicky sound and feel is acceptable. Granted, I wouldn't recommend using this keyboard in an office or a school setting, but for everyday use, this keyboard is perfect. I haven't had a chance to use the keyboard to its full potential yet, but it does come with just about everything but the kitchen sink. There are a few miner annoyances with this keyboard. First of all, the Command Dial is too close to the Esc key, I think Razer could have left a bit more room between the two buttons. Secondly, it's very easy to accidentally press the 3 macro keys on the left-hand side of the keyboard, so I have mine disabled. Someone may find 8 macro keys useful, however, I think it's a bit overkill. Last but not least, you can tune this keyboard's polling rate all the way up to 8000 Hz, but realistically speaking, there is no real-world advantage to this, so for all intents and purposes, I feel 2000 Hz of polling is adequate for most users--gamers and everyday users, alike.

Very good keyboard, very beautiful to look at and sounds amazing. And always with razer, good build quality

I will add to the growing list of people who were immediately impressed by the quality, feel and aesthetic of the V4 Pro but have now started developing double-typing, delay, and no-input issues with random keys. For myself, it is the W key (and as I am currently typing on the keyboard awaiting a replacement, I have to go back and manually delete a second "w", or press the "w" key a second time, about every other time you've seen a W in this post so far. Very, very annoying). This issue renders the keyboard functionally unusable for gaming and most work functions. This is absolutely unacceptable for a 300+ CAD product, especially at the rate at which people are reporting the issue, it indicates a massive flaw in Razer QC rather than a few isolated cases. Some people are even experiencing issues with RMAing for a replacement, which is a further pain to have to deal with an unresponsive and/or inept Customer Service team. Razer must respond to all the concerns and issue some sort of solution here. The Blackwidow V4 Pro should be their flagship gold-standard keyboard at the price they are asking for, and its basically going to be a paperweight on my desk until a replacement shows up. If I were you, considering to purchase this product, I would wait until Razer has responded in some fashion. All this is coming from someone who considers themself a razer fan - I was hoping their shoddy QC had improved in recent years, especially with their higher-end products, but apparently not.
