I live in a state with lots of of palm trees and I can tell you there's no such thing as an "all green" palm. They're constantly dropping and replacing fronds, so at any given time the lower fronds will have yellow or even brown tips as those fronds are preparing to die and drop off.My point is, I appreciate the fact that these plastic replicas reflect that look (to an extent). To get an even more authentic look I painted some of the frond tips light brown.Unfortunately I'm only giving these palm trees three stars due to the somewhat sloppy molding, which keeps them from looking real.But all is not lost. The same manufacturer also makes coconut palms which look much more realistic (especially if you paint the coconuts, some brown, some green with brown ends).I'm not saying the palms on this page are no good, but having both on my N layout I can advise you to have a look at the coconut palms before committing.Of course you can have both (like me), but if I'd seen the other ones first, I wouldn't have gotten the ones on this page.

The trees didn't suit a tropical forest setup, it is false advertising. The trees kept breaking off into multiple pieces all the time. Also the tress didn't suit a diorama since they didn't have a flat base that can be glued to a flat surface of the diorama box. This product spoiled my kids project, we had make something else to look like a Rainforest.

Great quality, I boiled the trees before putting them on the cake and no damage. Beautiful, realistic.

No surprises,, these palms are exactly as described. A little paint or at least a bit of dullcote to knockdown the plastic shine/finish would make them even better. great for the price.

Great for building desert diorama. Varied shapes and sizes worked out great. Very realistic look. Very pleased.
