Easy to setup and use, five stars
Very nice and neat industrial design, the size of it is compact enough so that it won't block the other plug seat under it.They have their own nicely designed smart control APP on iOS, the setup was very easy and clear, only took 2 minutes and everything will running smoothly later on: 0. Download the app 0. Hold the power btn on it and then connect to its internal WIFI hotspot. 0. Go to "Add device" and it will automatically detect the device. 0. Set the WIFI network and password same as my home wireless router and everything is ready to go.At first I thought I can control it only when I connect to the same WIFI network it connects, but it surprised me that I can control it anywhere anytime I can just access the internet. I can turn on the light of my bedroom when I am still walking towards my home instead of searching for the switch in the dark now, bravo!!I can even set daily schedule and timer for each plug, e.g. the light can be turned on in same time as my alarm rings.Support Alexa & Google Home are big pluses. I will get a alexa later and will definately try with it.Some small features are also pretty useful such as "Scenes" feature, I can set scheduled turn on/off action with combination of multiple devices on any day & any time I want, provides me more smart home control options. Some nice feature could have in the future updates:*Support widget in the iOS system, so that I don't have to open app to switch on/off everytime, this would be much more convenient.*Refine some of UI and expereiences for the app.In conclusion, as a fairly new product on Amazon, it is already very integrated and satisfactory to me.

Waste of money - stopped working after a couple weeks
Don't waste your money, it worked for about 2 weeks and now no matter what I do I can't control my plug. You have to set up an account to use the plugs, which is silly, but they don't require a lot of information at least. Getting the app to recognize the plug the first time was easy. Just press the button on the plug until the light blinks blue, then the app can find it and connect using your WiFi network. But there's an added step they don't bother telling you about in order to connect to Alexa (you have to go to your profile page in the app and "upload configuration" whatever that means), but once I figured that out it worked beautifully with Alexa. For 2 weeks at least... Yesterday it suddenly stopped working. I thought maybe Alexa just couldn't recognize it, but the Eques Elf app itself can't control the plug anymore. I hit the On/Off button in the app and it just sits there for several seconds before telling me the network timed out. So I thought, why don't I just delete the plug and add it again. You can't. Let me just reiterate that: Eques developed an app where you can't remove a device. What kind of developer doesn't add a remove option? That's basic troubleshooting, delete then add again. Nope, not in this app. Their website is a joke too. No customer support of any kind. I tried pushing the button on the plug again to see if that would reset it, but it doesn't do anything. This was my first foray into smart home tech and I'm sorely disappointed. Don't waste your money, turn your lights on and off like a normal person.

Frustrating to get it going
This is a product that needs to be installed by a younger person. I completely get why people throw their phones. BUT... it does work. Some warnings...Note that it requires you to connect to a 2.4GHz network. It tells you to click the plus sign in the upper left corner. My screen shows that in the upper right corner. It also did not put the icon on my screen. Like I said, we ( lots of help from 30 yr old) got it to work.

Works great for what I wanted. Alexa support is a great plus!
At first, this wouldn't work perfectly. I bought this for my basement which is currently under development so much to the point that the only access to it is via a ladder. The lights run from one single box all the way in the back room, so we have to unplug the lights every time we want to turn them off. To streamline this process, we bought this.At first, this wouldn't connect to wifi even when it was just next to the modem. We ran an extension cable and put it in a better location. Once we did that it worked fantastically! The app is super simple to use once you get it set up.The description says this is Amazon Alexa compatible which is accurate! Though when I first tried to connect the plug to my Echo(s), it wouldn't work. While on vacation, I checked my Alexa app and the device "Basement" showed up as controllable from the Alexa app. I came home and discovered that for some reason, Alexa now works perfectly and I can just say "Alexa, turn on Basement."After we moved a lot of old army surplus tech out of my basement, I thought I'd retry the plug in the location I originally intended. I plug it in and it instantly reconnected to the wifi and started back to work in the spot I wanted. Guess it was all that metal blocking it's connection.TL;DR: This is a great plug. The app is super simple and Alexa compatibility is extremely convenient. You just need to download the Eques skill on the Alexa App. Just make sure you have no large bodies of metal in the way of the modem.

Happy customer. It is network enabled. Just not able to sync time automatically with iphone. everything else is perfect.
reviewThis timer works quietly, beautifully and wonderfully. We used it to start and stop our slow cooker while we sleep. We wake up to our healthy and tasty breakfast. It just energize our busy day and gives us a kick start! It is quality, durability and practicality all in one. The design and packaging brings you good pleasure. The free iphone app was well designed and easy to operate. We want to order more for many other things such as turning on/off our hallway light. Thank you, Eques, for bringing something excellent into our lives.

Overall it works fine. The major issue I have is that Alexa stops recognizing the plugs after a few hours and I have to disable and then re-enable the skill (forcing Alexa to link to the Eques account again) for it work properly. Will update this review if a future firmware upgrade resolved the issue.
