Good price, good product.......
The media could not be loaded. Update: The screw heads rust in a short space of time...... and easy to use/fit. The only down side was that the head of one of the screws shaved off because it was tight when I came to undo it as part of the installation. Would definitely get these again though and the two I bought were not only well worth it but actually worked as they should. You have to buy the glands separately for them but they are peanuts and will be used on other things I'm sure....

A good value, external switch.
A perfectly fine waterproof switch from BG.The switch comes with 4 screws, 4 screw caps, and 4 black rubber bungs to place over your wall fixing holes. (Photo). If you fix it with dome headed screws, you will have less chance of cracking the back plate. The switch itself is a 2 way single pole switch, with a current rating of 20amps.All that means is that you either have continuity between COM and WAY 1 or COM and WAY 2, depending on which way the switch is.The neon indicator lamp, isn't fixed, so you can move it to either WAY 1 or WAY 2, depending on how your circuit is wired. (Photo). The back box has a good internal depth of 37mm. There is a knockout on each side, with one side having 2 knockouts. There is also a knockout in the centre of the back.Knockouts are 20mm but can be easily enlarged to 25mm.The actual electrical switch is a half sized unit, and would be easy to replace. There is a rubber membrane between the main switch that you press, and the electrical switch. (Photo). The switch has a nice satisfying click in use. When you fix it to your wall, do not forget to drill a small drain hole at the base of the back box unit. They are clearly marked 'DRAIN'. You only need to drill one, which will allow any condensation to drain out.Overall, this is a very well priced IP66 switch, that works well in use.I hope you found this review helpful.

Good switch. Good price. Like the feature of having permanent red light on it so can find switch in the dark.
Excellent switch - feels solid, with a noce action. Comes with all the bits and pieces for fitting. It took me a bit of time to get my head around the instructions as to how to set up the little red light but essentially if you only have one supply wire (L) then it has to be on when the switch is in the OFF position (so you can use it like an indicator light to find the switch in the dark). If you have BOTH supply wires available (L and N) then you have an extra option of having the light only come on when the switch is in the ON position.

OK part from LED wires and switch position
The switch works OK, but there are two problems, which there should have been sorted when designed. The wires from the LED are too thin so cannot be used with the now standard screwless connectors. I am not able to use the LED. The switch is two-pole but if you want to only use it for one light switch you hit a problem. There is a one-way connection port and a two-way connection port. The one way for one light and the two way for two. With the switch is in the off position the one-way connector is live, so power to the light, so it is on. When the switch is on, the two-way is live, but the one-way is not, so no power to the light, so it is off. To get it working so the switch is in the correct position I had to connect the light to the two-way connection port. Good job I am an Electrician.

Good product.
As per other reviews, very high quality, and comes with everything needed to ensure waterproof fixing/closure, and a neat finish.I asked the question about LED fittings and using the neon indicator ... there is information about which states that if using without neutral feed (i.e. indicator light as "locator"), then it can cause LED fittings to flicker, since the circuit bridges the switch (i.e allows a small current to reach the light). Having fitted, and wired as above, I can confirm that there is no flickering, and therefore this switch is compatible with LED fittings. Thanks to all those who answered my question.
