Quality bench with problems/issues
This was ordered and arrived within 3 days, which was fantastic. However, the product itself has some issues. First off, as soon as it arrived, I noticed the heaviness of the components, so I knew it was a nice piece of equipment, not some cheap bench that would topple over when trying to use it. That was why I bought it over others that I saw. So, the box was a little damaged and I knew this was shipped from the seller that way because the seller had taped the box up where there was damage.I opened the box and removed all the parts. I did an inventory of the parts per the instruction sheet. One part was missing and another part that was in the box wasn't mentioned in the item inventory list. UH OH! that should have been a sign to me, right? Anyway, I went ahead, because the missing part was a bolt and I figured I probably had one around I could use until I got a replacement.I laid out all the parts and started putting them together per the instructions. The instructions are more illustrations with a few words thrown in, not really step by step information. So, I followed these "instructions" exactly as pictured making sure everything was as pictured, etc.Once the bench was together, there were problems. The instructions as illustrated had the padded backrest turned 180 degress, so it was backwards and the back could not be adjustedup or down because it was too close to the seat. Although this was the first "step" of the instructions, I was able to remove the padded backrest and turn it around so it was correctly positioned without totally dissembling the bench. The instructions and illustrations did not clearly define how to install the bar used to raise and lower the back rest. I was left to try several different configurations and then go back and use the one that worked the best. Although I now have the back rest bar in the best position available for raising and lowering the back, it still is not optimum and will slow down my work out when I adjust it during an exercise session. The problem is that you put a small rod with a knob on one end through the bar and a hole in the frame to hold the back rest in place when not flat. The rod goes through the bar easily enough, but trying to align the holes in the bar and the bench frame to get the rod through all of them to lock the back rest in place is not quick or easy. You are left fumbling around trying to get everything lined up as you cool down during your workout. In retrospect, the bench is a nice, heavy duty bench. It is quality components and will not topple over. It cleans easily and is a really nice addition to my home gym. However, I am short, 5'2" and when I lay down flat on my back on the bench to do bench presses, I have a little bit of trouble stabilizing my feet because the seat and bench are higher than what I am used to in the public gyms I frequent. If I were in the market for an incline bench, I think I'd keep looking past this one. It's too bad because it is a quality piece but the little things work against it.

Good bench for the price, but a bit tall
I was looking for a flat to incline bench rated for 500+ lbs and priced at under 200. I'd seen some really nice ones by Elitefts and a few other manufacturers but they were just out of my range (500+ for a bench).this one was rated at like 550, which is more than enough for me for the foreseeable future (how many of us work out with more than 500 on bench? Not me I'm afraid). The bench arrived in good shape, and was easy to assemble, major points on that front. it's fairly comfortable for me. I'm 6' and about 245 lbs. So far it's held up well but then I've only had it like a month. Mostly, for the price, it's a good bench. Yeah some of the pricey ones are better but I'm not made of money. You can go cheaper but most of the cheaper benches were only rated to 250--I bench more than that, and I weight almost that, so I just didn't trust them. There's two complaints on it though:it's a bit too tall for you to get good foot position when you're benching (I put dumbbells under my feet) and it has the pin adjustments for angles, rather than having the arched thing with large fins sticking up that hold the bench up--it's not a huge deal but it is a bit annoying. For the price though, I'll live with it. Plus, the extra height fits better into my squat rack. The height may be a real advantage if you're very tall (again, I'm 6' so I'm not short) but for most of us, it's an inconvenience.

Commercial grade
After much research and no reviews to read anywhere on the web I decided to take a chance and order this bench. Here is what I can report.I am 5'10" 180lbs. I might go up to 85lb dumb bells max using this bench and it can handle it and much more. The literature states 650lbs max including the person and by the looks of it I agree. This is a very sturdy bench. When it arrived I noticed that the packaging is thorough. No scratches, dents or missing parts. The box was heavy. Assembly was diagram based, simple and fast. The footprint of space taken up is a bit large. This is not a particularly compact bench. I could have easily used it at Bally, 24 Hour Fitness or the Golds gyms I've visited over the years. The only criticism I might have would be that the cushions are a bit stiff. Maybe they will break in over time. Not that big of an issue, just looking for something to complain about.I'm pleased with this strong, well made bench that is in another league than something found at Walmart.

Very solid bench
I ordered this bench to pair with my Deltech power rack. The bench is very sturdy but it is rather tall. I am 5'6ish on a good day so I need to put a few plates on the floor so I can get my feet set. I don't count that as a negative for the review because I am short and I knew when I ordered the bench it was over 21 inches tall. As stated in a previous review, setting the incline is rather awkward but it is not that big of a deal. for the price and the weight capacity, it can't be beat. I am 200 pounds so unless I start benching over 350 this bench should last me a lifetime.

Torn
I was looking for a bench and torn on which one to choose. This bench is not a bad buy for the price. I also purchased rubber matting and combined with the bench the area is slip-free and lets you feel how stable and durable the bench really is. I am very happy with the purchase and do not regret choosing this one.

Good bench
Good quality bench. Adjustment knob isn't easiest to get back on the right hole because you can't see where it is but that's about only complaint.
