Before I purchased this calming defuser for my cat, My cat would be meowing all of the time, over and over again. I decided to go and look at a couple of cat calming solutions,and I ran across this brand. The first day I pluged it in, it started working. 😀 So I put one in the bedroom, and one in the kitchen. I have a small apartment. One of them covers 700 ft², so it's more than enough for my apartment. If you're thinking about getting this for your cat, please do!!! I 100% recommend it He is no longer meowing the spraying calm down, because it's a boy cat he's sleeping most of the time. I love it The best money spent. 😀🤸🏽‍♀️🤸🏽‍♀️

I purchased this to help my older Brussels Griffon who suddenly started barking when I would leave the house. I assumed it was because my other dog was becoming different - he was suffering from more seizures that we discovered were stemming from a brain tumor and not epilepsy. I think he was becoming stressed due to his brother's condition and it made him nervous when I would leave him alone with him, they're much more sensitive to things than we are that's for sure. I decided to give this a try and so glad that I did! As soon as I plugged it in he became much calmer and the barking stopped altogether when I would have to leave, he was relaxed and at ease. Sadly I lost my boy because of that tumor, my little Griff just knew something wasn't right and it showed. I have adopted another little pup in need so I will be ordering more of this, not that she truly needs it per se, but it does create a calm and comforting environment and since she is a senior, as is my Griff, it can only help to keep them at ease. I can't recommend it enough.

Since I am highly sensitive to smells, I was worried this would have a weird, awful smell but was pleasantly surprised that this gives off an uplifting type of essential oils scent. I have used it off and on around my cats since they were having trouble dealing with a new kitten in the home, and I think it does help. The only issue I really have with it is that it goes quickly! So I cannot keep this plugged in all the time, like I'd prefer, and have to use it more strategically. I don't see a super dramatic change in behavior, however, it is true everyone is getting along much better since utilizing this diffuser, and I think it is genuinely helping. For the price and how quickly it diffuses, I may run in to having to decide on this or the spray stuff instead. My friend who came in the house said it smelled like a man's cologne. I think it smells more like a mix of essential oils. It can be very strong though, so my only wish is that this could be made with different settings, (i.e. 1, 2, 3 dispensing amt), kind-of like some of the plug in air fresheners have. That would be extremely helpful, and would make the product last a bit longer as well (read: more budget friendly!) Still, I'd recommend this to anyone with anxious kitties in the home, it's definitely worth trying out.

edit: I am amending my review after realizing this product is not faulty itself, and that it does indeed work to calm our pets and keep the cats from scratching on the dining room chairs. After I left the formerly two star review I started puzzling and wondering exactly why the product had failed and why the cats and returned to scratching one week after I plugged in the generic diffuser. And so I unplugged the diffuser and took it apart and what was going on was the refill inside the diffuser the wick had dropped down all the way into the liquid of the bottle. So the wick was not getting warmed and it wasn’t tall enough to draw up the liquid and diffuse it through the room. It wasn’t difficult to fix… more just being careful to make sure the wick didn’t drop down again when it was inserted back into the electric diffuser. So within 24 hours the cats are leaving this room alone again and I’m finding that this product does seem to work very well. I don’t know that I will purchase diffuser refills as I’m not always in the headspace to go and check them to make sure that the wicks are in the right place or whatever. Because it was when inserting the wick upon arrival that it had become dislodged and dropped too low to wick up product and diffuse, But I do believe I would purchase from this company other products. So that’s my amended review. Three stars. previous: We have been buying feliway for years and I have actually never left a review for them until this morning because I thought it was a rather common place pheromone product and not some thing that was maybe spectacular in its own right. Well to save a little money I bought this generic pheromone spray to keep our cats from scratching up furniture. And for the first time in maybe five years? My cats are all tearing up furniture again. So I am going ahead and buying more feliway. I don’t know if it’s that the diffuser for this is faulty, or if it is just an inferior product. It seems like the first few days it did work, and now I even doubt this and wonder if it was just that the feliway had trained them to not scratch and they slowly returned when the deterrent was gone. Gave one star for scent as I suppose its the scent that should be doing the work here and it is not.

I have mixed feelings about this diffuser. The good: It's effect on my 3 cats was noticeably good. They became way less grouchy and more relaxed after only a couple of days' exposure. The bad: I ordered the diffuser and a refill plus another 2 pack of refills later after I saw how my cats reacted. I went through 1 vial that came with the and started on the refill that came with it after the first cartridge ran out. It did not last through the second cartridge that came with the unit. I have 1 pack of unopened refills. I ordered it on 8/22/22. I noticed over the holidays that the level hadn't dropped significantly but was too busy to pay it any mind. In January 23, I took a look at it and noticed that it was no longer warm to the touch and the power indicator light was off. There is power to the outlet it was on, so that's not the problem. It is picky about the direction it is installed when you plug it in. It cannot be upside down or sideways, it must be upright. This was noted and done correctly. This was clearly stated in the directions. The Ugly: I figured, well there are some defective units in every product from time to time, no problem. I'll just contact someone and ask about troubleshooting or a replacement. I have tried contacting customer support and have varying levels of non-success. I tried the amazon seller but have not heard back after a week. Next, I tried contacting the original manufacturer via the phone number on their website. It went straight to voice mail, had no greeting and didn't sound like I'd even reached a business "The caller you are trying to reach is not available, please leave a message" generic default vm greeting. Finally, when I tried emailing customer support, the email came back as invalid!! I tried the message them a couple of ways- once through the product support website and once via the auto-email link. I cc'd myself to be sure to see any replies, but both times, it came back as an invalid, undeliverable email.

Amazing, my car has been ripping out her fur and mutilating her tale for over a month, I’ve spent over 1000 dollars on vet visits for them to tell me it’s fleas and to keep a come on her. A month later the problem is so much worse and her fur is matted to her tale. I told myself I was gonna try anxiety treatments before another vet visit bc I was sure she just has ocd. Within hours of plugging it in she was wayyy calmer and more interested, we took the cone off to see what would happen and she started ripping off the scabs and cleaning herself without hurting herself and now she’s completely bald on the tale but she’s not messing with it at all. This plug in literally saved me so much time and money. I was in shambles for 2 months bc my cat was so missrable and now she’s perfectly fine

I went against my husband's judgment on this product because I thought it would be great for our cat room/sun room. Everyone gets along pretty well, but there is occasional nervousness due to noise from neighbors. We also have a few that like to mark things at theirs. I was hoping this diffuser would make them not want to do that anymore. I will say it has a very pleasant scent. Our cat room is 400sq ft, so according to the recommendations, it should have worked for an enclosed area. Intentionally did not plug in the diffuser near any fans or near the A/C. I put it right by the door. The marking never stopped (it actually got worse) but I would say one of the kitties sent a fairly strong message by peeing directly underneath it (on the floor) several times. They even began pooping on the floor, in front of The Litter Robot. Yet another message. (Hey, animals don't lie when they don't like something). Thank God the floors are concrete. If this product didn't accomplish anything in an enclosed area, I would imagine it is even less effective if placed in an open area like a living room or kitchen. ?? I am an animal welfare author and a known cat expert. I buy a lot of pet products!! Most of those purchases (apart from food) are from Amazon. I had to ask for a refund on this one (a rare thing for me) because it did absolutely nothing. I wanted it to work. I wanted to see some kind of difference. Nothing. Lastly, I will say that I purchased the other major brand a few years ago (similar product) and that one was equally as worthless. This makes me question the validity of the positive reviews on this product. Seriously.

My parents’ calico cat has been weary of all humans since she’s been spayed and became a part-time outdoor cat. Outside, she’s had run ins with stray cats and other animals (nothing too serious), but it has her on guard all the time. Unless she’s interacting with my parents, or me if I’m visiting for at least a week, she will not let you touch her and will hiss/claw. She’s actually a super sweet and loving cat but just doesn’t trust people- like she’s in a constant state of “survival” mode and constantly at least a little stressed. I believe being in nature and susceptible to the risks outdoors has made her this way. In fact, I noticed a difference the first time she leaped through the window and was lost for a night. When I finally found her in a bush that night, it was like our sweet cuddly cat didn’t know me anymore. She was in survival mode and trust was being too vulnerable. Since then, she craves the outdoors (but only in nice weather & always sleeps at home), and my parents feel strongly that her life would be deprived if she were kept indoors. I tend to agree. Hence, she’s a part-time outdoor cat, which means she has a lot of adventure and experiences but also an increased baseline stress level when it comes to interactions that require trust. Sorry for the novel but wanted to paint a picture. I got this for my parents for Christmas and within literally 15 minutes, our sweet kitty was playing in the center of the room with a room full of family and friends, including some strangers to her. She was even letting random people pet her! Like enjoying them touching her and just seemed overall way more calm and at ease. It’s still early and we’re on the first use but I don’t see how it could go wrong from here. Only positive experiences so far, and I plan to refill as soon as the insert is close to empty after reading other reviews of increased heat. I’ve also read that the insert will never look “empty” even if a refill is required so it’s important to replace within a month or so b/c looks like some people’s wicks have become overly hot (fire hazard). Again, this has not been my experience but it’s only been 2 weeks - only positive experience with this product so far.

Our rescue cat who we've had for coming on 8 years is a changed cat. She had a bad start in life as a kitten and has always been jumpy and skittish and became a lot worse when our elderly cat passed away in December, just hiding behind the curtain on the window ledge and pulling out her fur. Vet recommended us to get a plug in, but didn't want to as most of them are pretty toxic. Anyhow, found this natural one and gave it a try. For the first time.e in over 7 years she has decided to sit on our laps and constantly wants to be stroked and fussed. We're Completely bowled over. Absolute amazing. It took about 2 weeks for this full on effect, but she seemed a lot calmer from day one.
