"Enjoy a smooth, easy ride with the Urban Lady cruiser bike from Firmstrong, which comes in two sizes -- 24-inch (for riders 4 feet to 5 feet, 2 inches tall) and 26-inch (for riders 5 feet to 6 feet tall). The Urban Lady comes as a single-speed that's ideal for casual riding, a three-speed that's perfect for long rides and climbing hills, and a seven-speed that uses a top-of-the-line Shimano external gear shifting system, enabling you to enjoy more high intensity riding and to go farther distances than ever imagined possible on a cruiser. The single- and three-speed models have coaster brakes, while the seven-speed offers front and rear handbrakes operated via levers on the handlebars. The classic, curvy steel cruiser frame is complemented by 24- or 26-inch aluminum wheels, which feature 2.125-inch wide white-wall tires that roll smooth and easy as well as cushion the bumps as you ride over them freely. The wide, oversized seat completes your comfort with dual springs that help make the ride soft and cushy. Other features include wide cruiser bike handlebars with hi-density foam grips, waffle tread tires, and a guard to protect pant cuffs from getting caught in the chain. The bike is shipped 80 percent assembled. Firmstrong has been designing high quality, affordable bikes for over 10 years with a focus on blending style and functionality to create a fun, adventurous experience for riders -- not just a mode of transportation." Review: This is a very nice bike. Assembly was easy for the most part. The brakes on the one I ordered for my wife were set wrong... the set screws in the rear brakes were mismatched, and the pads on both the front and rear brakes were set to rub the tires rather than the rims. Other than the brakes, we're very happy with the bike. It's very sharp looking, the seat is comfortable, and the shifter works well enough. I'm a little bummed that I paid $100 more for it than its listed for now, I'd rate it an excellent deal at the new $199 price. Review: This is a big solid bike. The color is extraordinary. It is just the perfect shade of subtly sparkly purple and much nicer in person than in the pictures online. I am very happy with this bicycle. It went together without too much difficulty too. I am older with a bad back (hence the upright bike) and not so great knees and was able to assemble this bicycle on my own. The gear shifting mechanism comes pre-assembed with the back tire otherwise, I would have required help with it. The fenders that I ordered separately also were not difficult to attach, (with an L shaped Phillips head screwdriver) they match perfectly and enhance the looks and ride time (can ride when it is wet/damp out without spattering on me) of the bike.

I have loved this bike because it is so cute and such a comfortable bike to ride, but it is always needing fixing. My husband has been begging me ever since I got the bike to get a better one. I have held off because it really is so comfortable to ride. It is now at the point I have to get a new, more expensive bike. The chain comes off every time I change gears. I took it to the bike shop that has been taking care of it and they said it is now unfixable. The drive train (I think that is what it is called) is moving up and down and can't be fixed. My sister has two of these bikes with no gears that have worked really well. I'm thinking that might be a better option if you want a bike like this. Less that can go wrong. Also, I know we have been having rampant inflation, but it is 58% more expensive than what I paid for it in late 2018. I was more willing to take a chance on it at that price than I would at this price. I have enjoyed the bike. I would say I got about 3 good years (riding it six months of the year) out of it. I'm probably nuts, but I was hoping for more like10 years as I take good care of it and store it in the garage out of the weather.

Bought the men's Firmstrong Beach Cruiser (3 Speed) through Amazon. Initially all was good, but the men's bike turned out to be defective as well....see my review on that bike. But initially, I was excited about this bike, so I ended up ordering the woman's Firmstrong beach cruiser so we would have a set. I prefer hand brakes so I opted for this 7 speed Beach Cruiser, plus it was cheaper than the 3 speed. It arrives, late, despite it being Prime. But I got it, and spent 4 hours putting this damn thing together. The instructions are horrible. Nonetheless, after getting through it, with the help of the internet and Youtube, we got it together and took out for a test spin. Lo and behold, it's DEFECTIVE. 7 speed, yet gears 5-6 do not work, at all. Tried and tried to make it work and it wouldn't work. Ended up calling Amazon the next morning to ask what my options were. Basically, Amazon doesn't care that I spent 4 hours assembling this thing, they tell me that I have to take it back apart, put into a box, and send back via UPS if I want to get a refund. Huh?! Disassemble it? Figure out how to fit back into the box, and then drag a 50pound box to UPS?????? Absurd. But I had no choice. I even asked if Amazon would simply pay for the repair and I would take it to a bike shop here locally. My intent was never to return it, I wanted to keep it, but if its defective, it's defective. Why is that my problem!!! So disappointing. After speaking to three different people at Amazon, I just went through the hassle of disassembling this bike, luckily I still had the original box since I just received it. So it's not like I was scamming Amazon and used it and wanted to return it. It was truly defective. Amazon is a nightmare to work with when you order this large ticket items. Stick to little things like shoes, clothes, food.... big items like TVs, bikes, no way again from Amazon. And this bike.... total fail. We ended up returning BOTH bikes and ended up buying two new bikes from the local bike shop down the street, for the same price.
