The SS86 Dinobots are top tier CHUG figures
Just like the rest of the SS86 Dinobots, this figure is fantastic in bot & dino modes. The sheer size is scaled well with CHUG figures. All I have for these figures are nitpicks. The one that sticks out for me the most for Snarl, is the proportion of his Dino mode (stegosaurus) body with the size of his plates; the plates seem a bit small; I also wish there were a bit more plates, particularly on his tail. I wish his tail was a bit more articulated like his MP or Legends counterparts. There are a few gaps here and there, especially the inner portion of his feet. The waist in bot mode seems very small when you take a close look at the upper torso and lower torso, which are connected by only a small surface area. Other than that, it's very clean from front to back just like the rest of the Dinobots. I had no issues with his Dino head not aligning well as some others reported with their copies. He looks just like his G1 character from the 80's movie and show and transforms exactly the same as from the show. Simple enough, but not too simple as some others would criticize his other Dinobot buddy, Swoop. And he's well-articulated as modern CHUG figures should be.

Best studio series dinobot posing wise for the robot mode
The figure is good in both modes. The only hollow part is in the inner legs which is for transformation. The tail in the dinosaur mode is at a weird angle and cannot be adjusted. All spikes except for on the tail are soft and slightly bendable. The sword is like this as well. You won’t have to worry about any pieces coming off easily. It is a good size in both modes and the gold color of his head doesn’t match the spikes but looks good in person.

Memories old to memories new
I pre ordered this product months ago and have waited rather impatiently for it to arrive. My hopes were not dashed when I got my package and opened the box. All be it somewhat different from the G1 figures from the 86 movie and series, this dinobot like the others that have been released to date (which I own those as well) have sparked the wonderful memories from my childhood. This new model /remake is great, it’s big and beautiful. So, from memories of old from my childhood to memories new that my grandson and I will make, this dinobot like the others will live through the passages of time and wonderful playtime freedom Because every moment with my grandson is the greatest gift and the transformers spark his and my imagination to the cosmos and back. So. Worth every penny and loads of fun.

Snarl the stegosaurus
Dinobots are always a fun collection to collect. Wish the price was normal retail price. Still worth it for collection only. Durability nice great articulation and accessories. If you're Dinobot fan. A must have figure

The best S86 Dinobot since Grimlock
Absolutely wirth it at MSRP or $65, would start to hurt at $75, might regret it later (but not enough to send it back) at $85, buyer's remorse starts to set its teeth in at $90+. Watch the prices, shop around, and do your utmost not to feed the scalpers - a Grimlock reissue has been slated for 2025 (plus the G2 yellow version available now and the Comics Colors versdion currently in preorders, which basically means a flat yellow chest instead of gold and blue for the head, hands, and thighs, plus he comes with the swords for Slag and Sludge as well as his own) and the rest of these Dinobots over the following few years, so even if you can't find a Snarl now thanks to the TERRIBLE distribution issues for his release there is still hope.

Charming and fun, but budget choices keep it from full greatness
Snarl is the fourth of the Dinobots to get a big leader-class figure in the Studio Series 86 line, and fits in with his brethren quite well. However, there is a sense that the budget has crept up on this figure more than the others, he has several gold parts left unpainted, no covers for the gaps in his boots, and very simple hip side-hinge articulation that falls loose. His robot mode is otherwise quite good, while his dino mode tries to be a bit too faithful to the G1 toy ending up a bit awkward. He's not substantially worse than the other SS86 Dinobots, but the price has gone up while the budget has gone down and the figure suffers a little for it. Robot mode is big and beefy with a very cartoony look, especially the face. His sword is painted silver and looks surprisingly great in-hand. He holds together pretty well, better than most of the other Dinobots in this series; his back panel comes separately and is easy to attach, it folds up nicely and stays put. Aside from the loose side-hinges on the hips, articulation is really good, everything you'd expect from a Transformers Generations figure of the last 4 years, even if his head can't look up or down too much. I don't love the dino kibble under the forearms or the gappiness of the inside of his lower legs and feet, but after a few minutes of posing him, I can live with it. The instructions make transformation feel annoyingly complex, but it's a lot smoother and more apparent once you've done it and understand where everything's going, especially both sets of dino legs. Getting the midsection done is fun, but it is a bit tough to fully align. The storage for the sword is solid, just tabs under the dino. Snarl's dino mode is an homage to the G1 toy more than the cartoon, his rump essentially is gone, he's kinda hunched up in the back and his tail drops straight down, it's more aggressive a design than the original and doesn't look great for it. The official pose also leaves an obvious gap beneath the rear section, it seems like the rear legs are supposed to be posed forward to hide this. Breaking with the other Dinobots, Snarl's legs and head are unpainted gold plastic even though they're the same material as the tail, but that is painted gold to match his chums, and that same gold paint ends up on the more rubbery dorsal spines, so the orangey gold plastic just looks out of place and chintzy. It's odd, there's other paint applications, red, dark gray, blue, even more silver, but they got stingy on the gold for half the dino mode. There's a dark stripe running down the head from the silver paint inside each half. If you don't mind the tail being totally immobile, dino articulation is decent enough, limited ball-jointed hips front and back, hinged ankles front and back, hinged knees in the back, and an opening mouth. Snarl is the first leader-class Dinobot not to have a peg to hold a blast effect in his mouth, likely due to his head splitting for transformation. He's quite solid, everything feels good and looks alright, it's easier to ignore his gaps on the underside than it was with Sludge.

Snarl review
Finally got snarl, this is 4th member of the dinobot team. Very impressed with the modding of the details. The size is pretty big, the best looks is in dino mode, in robot mode was kinda not as interesting. The only thing I didn't like is the head of dino mode have that big line in the middle, which made it looks like it may snap apart. I also wish they can move the tail, because it is not moveable. Just very odd in that position when you are transforming it. Kinda get that feeling I transformed the dinobot wrong. Over all this is a great collection if you are into the classic dinobot like I do. thanks for reading.

Dinobot Supremacy
Another fantasic Studio Series dinobot. Snarl is tall, articulated, solid, and transforms beautifully. Only two minor issues is the seam line on the dino hit (very noticeable since it cuts through the Autobot symbol), and the sword is made of soft plastic. Although this isn't inherently a bad thing, mine was slightly bent and I wasn't able to fix it, but it's not a huge deal.
