I recently bought an Amazon Echo Dot and while you'll see that I gave it a five-star review, I actually find the audio from it to be bit on the 'meh' side - particularly when playing music through it. As a result of this, I decided to have a look and see if I could find a small Bluetooth speaker that could sit next to it that would be equally as unobtrusive but give it a much-needed kick in the audio department, but didn't want to spend a fortune. As you might imagine, I was a bit confuddled by the masses of small Bluetooth speakers that are available and pared it back to a small selection of them and ultimately decided to go for this little one as it seemed to get good reviews and was under £20.>>>>>>WHAT'S IN THE BOX?Well, let's talk about the size of that box first? After I removed it from the Amazon carton, I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw the size of the box - it was absolutely tiny and far smaller than I actually expected it to be! When it came to removing the speaker from its box, I found the speaker itself, a small instruction booklet and a USB charging cable.>>>>>>FIRST IMPRESSIONS?Well, it's probably as hard to judge a book by its cover as it is to just a speaker from its appearance but, saying that, my first impressions of this wee speaker was that it was actually really rather nice. For the price, it's a smart little speaker with a coll metal casing and grating. Around the bottom edge of it there are several buttons, an on/off switch, a small microphone hole, it Micro-USB connector port and a Micro-SD card slot.>>>>>>CHARGING & PAIRINGBefore I got started and actually turned the speaker on, I decided to give it a charge, so I plugged a Micro-USB cable into it and charged it for a while until its blue-coloured LED went out, which took less than an hour.The next task, of course, was to get it paired with the Amazon Echo Dot so I went into the Alexa app and connected the two of them together, which was easy enough. This was unexpected! I can broadly say that the sound from this little dynamo of a speaker is truly impressive! For such a small thing, it outputs a tremendous amount of bass and has rather remarkable clarity, treble and mids for such a budget product. Testing it with a variety of different types of music being pumped to it via the Echo Dot and Amazon Music Unlimited, I was and am seriously impressed! It puts out so much bass that it was rattling the things next to it on my table and can get much, much louder than it really ought to be capable of!>>>>>>PORTABLE LITTLE DYNAMOOf course, with this thing being both bluetooth and battery powered, it opens up the possibilities of playing music just about anywhere, so you could take this with you when you're out having picnics and all sorts of other scenarios! I went for this as I wanted something small when travelling away from home. I didn't want to pay a lot, I wanted reasonable sound quality and it had to look nice. This ticks all of those three boxes.I selected what they call Rosa, I guess it's a metallic pink, which looks fabulous. The design is very simple, as can be seen from the photos (taken in my hotel room where I'm using it to play songs via my phone). Pairing is straightforward and it has the usual volume, phone answering, skip track, etc abilities. A blue flashing disk lights up the bottom, which adds to the look.Sonically, it won't win any prizes but is very capable at this price point. Whilst lacking in base (aren't they all?) it's actually quite good in terms of clarity and better than I expected for something costing under twenty pounds. I've played a variety of tunes from it this evening in various styles from rock and pop through to easy listening. It handled all with aplomb.I do like this. My only worry is that if the wife claps eyes on it she'll want it. Perhaps I should have gone for a duller colour...

Good quality but doesnt connect windows 10, windows asks for pin

This bluetooth speaker looks really good, which I guess is one of the main things you're looking for. The sound quality is also good, which is the other main thing really. The only issues that I have with it is that the range for connection via bluetooth isn't great, it's alright but not as good as some others and similar with the battery life. However when you take into consideration the cost, I think they're reasonable really and I'd recommend.

Purchased this as a last minute Christmas present for my husband . It feels very well made and of high quality . Easy to use also I managed to pair it with my mobile and listened to a few music tracks . Considering it’s small size I was surprised by how well the music sounds and how loud the music came out of the speaker . I would definitely recommend this Bluetooth speaker

This mini Bluetooth speaker exceeded my expectations.it is as close to it as you can get. High volume does not distort the balance of the music....I am extremely pleased....almost giddy because it literally solves so many issues...like NO WIRES...I can bring it anywhere...play it from so many devices now. The sound is superior. I use it in the kitchen/dining area, but I can turn it up and hear it all over the house. We enjoy listening to audio books while preparing and eating dinner and we can hear them well over the clatter of dishes while cooking.Amazing speaker already recommended to my friends.

Small speaker but great voice! I bought it as a bday gift for my daughter’s friend but when she saw it, she wanted to keep it so I needed to buy something else . Beautiful pink colour, looks very expensive, sound is great. Can be a great Xmas gift

Smaller than expected, looks lovely and good for price, if you want high quality sound this product is not great however for 13yr old sister for bedroom this is perfect!
