handy light while it works
purchased as a replacement which had seen better days , the light is a nice weight and fits in the hand nicely , the motion detection is first rate , picks movement up very easily activating a bright wide spread light beam.i really like the option of switching on either the front or side light using the on-off button, was ideal when tightening up a tap under my sink.the only criticism i can make .. the holder and base of the torch becomes very warm when chargingUpdate ...5 weeks of use and one of the LEDs failed with a second strobing, the following day all failed except 2. Then last night 1 strobing light. My advice is it’s a good light whilst working , and if it’s reliable a good buy. But this failed for us and feel let down

good for 3 years
Inexpensive and bright sensor torch that you plug in. It is very good for "power cuts", or "movement detection", or as "night light", or "off". You can switch between these functions as needed. I bought 2, but the one I bought 3 years ago started to malfunction by lighting up at night every minute for no reason. The plug seemed a bit warm to touch, which was worrying for safety reasons, so I have got rid of it. (I have now bought a more expensive one with a 5 year guarantee, but I haven't tried that one yet). However, I still use the other similar Wolf torch, but I will check that the plug does not get warm, which may indicate a fault, and then I will stop using it. Remember that you have to recycle these at an official Dump, and not in the household rubbish bin.

Really impressed
I bought this light for my mum who lives in an area which gets loads of power cuts. After the last longish outage and loads of torches with flat batteries, not working etc I found this product which looedk to be a great solution. It was, when the power goes off, the light comes on, it's as simple as that. Add the movement sensor function which is a great bonus at night and also the re-chargeable torch which is always ready to use and I think this is a winner.Light output is good and the torch is a nice and light. My on negative is the switch which is a little but awkward for anyone who's hands aren't so good. As the torch comes on when removed from the holder, when the power goes off and when you go near it then this is something that doesn't matter too much as the button is rarely used.

Works quickly, not too bright
Perfect to mount next to my dad's en suite door. When he wakes at night he can easily orient himself by waving an arm. The torch can be reached and taken if he needs to explore or if there is a power cut. Otherwise it lights up gently, not too bright, and shows where the door is.

Well Designed
This is an ideal emergency light for households and I like the sensor feature which means the night light only activates when it detects moment so is ideal for people who don't want a night light on all night but need a light if they get up in the night or need to see in an emergency situation.

Very bright and good sensor.
Really bright. Motion works very well. So good I bought a second one for a friend.I have this plugged in so that it lights up a room as I walk in where the switch isn’t at the entry. Could be used to automatically light up a landing at night. Also a good torch. And when there was a power cut it lit up instantly which meant I wasn’t plunged into darkness.

Useful
I bought these because I had a power cut and couldn’t find anything in the dark including candles etc. They are really useful as torches and work lights as well as being there for an emergency. The dual light is very useful indeed. Very good light too.Perhaps the chargers run a little warm. They could be a bit tighter in the plug hole but that is minor problem for such a useful torch.

Use to highly recommend...
• Light is very white and with a good spread. The torch is also superb.• Doesn't get too warm when charging• Induction charging means you can pop it in the charging station facing any direction you want• Sensor is pretty good, sometimes a tad laggy• Power failure mode works like a charm, lights up the second the power fails or you lift it from the charger. Automatically turns off when placed back in the charger (if the electricity is on).• It's a tad heavy in the socket, can "sag" a little bit, only downside• Don't seem to be able to buy it any more :-(UPDATE: Charger unit failed under warranty (I opened it up to discover components inside had overheated) but was replaced efficiently by the seller, although the replacement torch's functionality seems different :-S They have since change the units I have with a new design, it's smaller and lighter but not near as bright, and sensor range doesn't seem quite as good.
