I do admit I feel odd reviewing a product like this (usually i am a "tech review" guy) ... but i feel the need to. I have an issue at times with hard skin on my heels and ESPECIALLY my big toes ... nothing major but i finally decided to try a product like this, and ... I like it already ... while i JUST got this and used it once, it seems to work great. Sometimes just using a foot cream or something like that helps (and i still will use that after i use this item) but it's better to get the hard skin off first.like I said my issue isn't bad but i have had it for years and for a few $$ in an order, i figured I'd try this. I am not going to ham things up but ... i do notice where it was hard skin to some degree before ... is really smooth, and soft.I also (maybe its because of the "glass technology" in the description) i was wondering how this would FEEL ... I cant speak for those with ULTRA SENSITIVE skin .... and while others have said this sort of feels like a LIGHT grade sandpaper ... I am not sure i'd say it like that BUT ALSO ... i cant think of anything better. For my normal skin ... it doesn't hurt at all.It's easy to clean too ... it was a little "dusty" with particles when i was done (by the way i did not wet my feet first ... i just opened the package and tried it... .no problems there) ... ran it under a little water ... cleaned up "instantly"I may have not "needed this" ... my issue i have had for years but it has always been "meh ... no big deal" ... HOWEVER .. I am glad i picked this up and plan to use it at least after every shower.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I've tried a number of different things to get my feet to be smooth. I have mangy feet - it's ridiculous. You'd think I lived in the forest barefoot! I tried pumice stones and those wands with the scratchy surface, the ones that are scratchy on one side with sandpaper on the other side. Foot smoothing lotions.. Nothing makes much of a difference. Until this. I read the other reviews and they were right.I should've taken a before picture but the picture I posted is after only one use. I spent a few minutes on each foot (in the shower - wet feet) and a really large percentage of my rough and calloused skin is gone. I moisturized after, as the instructions advise. This product is amazing. And it cost eight dollars.. a fraction of the cost of a pedicure. seriously well done!

Someone in these reviews said just get it. So I did. And let me say I have feet like Sasquatch. Rough heals and a callous I’ve been grinding down with everything else made on the market for at least 10 years, well, it’s now gone. It’s never been ‘gone gone’. And now, it is! And so are the other tools I’ve tried. I tossed them all out because This is all you need! I used to spend at least 30 minutes every two weeks with a battery style ‘spin sander’ you know what I mean.. wink… but honestly less than 5 minutes with this and I’m in silky foot land, and no one was more surprised than me. So like the other review said, Just GET IT! I plan to get another (for back up) but honestly I clean it after each use and it’s like brand new.

It works well but I cut myself pretty badly using it. I didn’t feel pain but noticed my toe bleeding quite rapidly. After cleaning it up and bandaging it the pain is setting in. Maybe the calluses on my toes were not severe enough for this product? This issue may just be user error, but I’d like to warn people to be very careful while using it.

I could not believe how well this callus remover worked. I had a really thick buildup on my feet. I also had areas where old blisters had built calluses around the areas that had healed. I tried my old rechargeable callous remover, and for some reason it was tearing at the areas where the calluses were. I waited for these to heal again. I purchased this item and tried it, and it gently removed not only the blister callous area, but all of the other callous area on the rest of my feet and large toe. This is an incredible little tool. It works best when you are fresh out of the shower. I do it over my tub and then wash my tub out. The tool rinses right off. Pat dry. My husband loves it too.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Wow! I took a chance because I didn’t know anything about this file. I have had sooo many and have never been that happy with the results. I figured I would try one more. I was so surprised, it’s not a rough file, it’s almost smooth. I really don’t know how it works, but it does! My feet are the smoothest they have ever been. I use it every morning, it’s very quick and easy to use. I probably spend 1 minute on each foot daily. Then just run it under water to clean and it will be ready to use the next day. I am very impressed, hope it lasts!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I’m so glad that I read the previous reviews of this product. It is hands down the most effective callous tool I’ve used. Over the years I’ve used pumice stones, both natural and synthetic as well as sandpaper files, etc. None of them have come close to this Dr. Scholls. The nano pattern matrixed in the glass material leaves my skin smoother and callous free. It stays sharp and effective. The size is convenient and the handle assembly is easy to grip. I may buy a second one just in case it goes out of production and something happens to this one.
