With its navigation and operating systems, Excel is easy to use as long as you know way around these things. This is an excellent guide that will navigate you and takes place of a tutor. Recommend book go those new to the program

This book has the newest version of Excel. You can create graphs, keep your inventory straight and keep your financial records up to date. The formulas and functions are explained in depth. Great guide to learning Excel.

Work with the newest features
I used Excel back in the 1990s, so needless to say, I needed a refresher course and to learn all the new features. This book does a good job explaining the basic features, functions, and formulas. This is done with lots of screenshots, photos, and in clear simple language. There is a whole chapter of just definitions. Then we get into the more advanced features as well as how to format. There is a chapter on formulas. The table of contents is detailed so that you can quickly go back to the info you need at a later date. There is a section on pivot tables, which I am not familiar with. Also a chapter on various ways to present data. I learned a lot from this book.

Text and examples are too faint; let to believe pages were in color. Will return.
As soon as I opened the manual I was disappointed as the text and examples have very light print. Have to squint to see the examples of whatever is being displayed. Definitely not quality printing. I thought I had seen color pages in the product display. Will return immediately.

Morsels of Goodness
Just a little practice every day (or 5 out of 7 days) can surely add up! The author is here to teach, not to preach hacks, total benefit, bias, or tell jokes. 182 pages straight to the point. Arrows and Screen shots are very helpful and walk you thru things slowly that you can follow along! Page 32 does go over all the benefits and reasons to buy in, but again, this author assumes you’re here to learn and already have an idea the benefits therein. I use Excel every day for my day job. And I also use it sparingly to for my side jobs business. The amount of time we spend floundering can be alleviated with some basic know-how and tricks. True false formulae, data mining, automation calculations, and even a bit on mail merge which I use semesterly (and always forget the steps in the 4 month breaks between use!) I do think a lot of these tricks are basic but I also think starting from the beginning and making sure we are using things properly from day one helps us not to ingrain bad habits which are that much harder to break. I appreciate the straightforward nature of this book the definitions in the beginning before they go into more intricate usage.

Basic and not up to date
I did not find any value from this book. It is not incorporating the latest features of excel - nothing on xlookup for example
