They are a plastic cover They are not hard like a file. But the plastic keeps the paper safe and sounds. They have A4 or A5. A5 are more sturdy as there smaller and not as much to cover. They are great and handy. I hope I have helped you.

Do you get all 3 books?

Yes you do there’s A4 or A5 all with 3 books I’ve bought these many times. I find them helpful.
