How does the Ode grinder perform over time with dark roast beans (i.e., more oily beans)?

I have had grinder for about two months. It grinds well. However make certain to empty your dose of grounds beans completely from the hopper. It will affect the dosage ground. Too much or too little coffee. Definitely need to clean grinder often with espresso beans due to it's compact size of burr grinder blades and chute output. I clean mine once a week. Hope this helps.

Could I grind two lbs at a time without having to let the Opus cool down?

you are limited by the size of the cup the grinds are captured in...i have found smaller portions are less problematic

Does the collecting cup fit 51 mm portafilter?

Don’t know bout that but, it’s a great grinder and I use it daily. The capacity seems to be much larger than the 20 gms I do each am….looks like you could do 4x what I do each morn. Quiet, efficient, and neat. Not too much room on the kitchen. Try it !
